ABSTRACT

Wars are often used to make the citizen of any country nationalist and patricotic but what
about the affects it have on the nature and building which later affect the so said nationalist
and patricotic? This paper, we have researched various types of weapons which have been
used in the previously held wars and how these weapons have affects the built environment,
nature and human beings in the long run.

WEAPONS USED IN MASS DESTRUCTION

A weapon that can be killed and harm to human beings and as well as man – made
structure , that can cause damage to buildings or a structure which is man-made.
These are the weapons which is highly chemical explosive and used in world wars. Later it
is come up in many types-chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear.
United States and Russia has the most powerful weapons in the world.
NUCLEAR WEAPONS - Nuclear weapon is a device to release energy in
explosive manner.
Vehicles which is used in delivery of nuclear weapon is rockets and missiles.
BIOLOGICAL WEAPONS - It is a type of biological toxins such as bacteria or a virus to kill
human, plants and animals.
RADIOLOGICAL WEAPONS – It is a device which spreads radioactive material.
CHEMICAL WEAPONS – It is a device that releases toxic chemicals.
Following the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the terms came to refer more to
non-conventional weapons.
Energy from the nuclear explosion is initially release in several forms of penetrating
radiations. The surrounding materials such as air, water, and vegetation are affected by
these radiations and rapidly heats the materials to an equlibrium temperature, hence
resulting in its rapid expansion.
WEAPONS IN MASS DESTRUCTION AFFECT OUR ENVIRONMENT-
Military activity has significant impacts on the environment. Not only can war be destructive to
the social environment, but military activities produce extensive amounts of greenhouse gases
(that contribute to anthropogenic climate change), pollution, and cause resource depletion,
among other environmental impacts.

CONCLUSION – With any forms of weapons used in mass destruction, it directly affects the
physical environment by rapid increase in temperature, water crisis, poising the water table
and the soil. Hence effecting the human beings in and adverse manner.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION?
Weapons of mass destruction—threats and responses. Weapons of mass destruction (WMD)
include chemical, biological, and radiological agents with the potential to cause death at low
doses and with serious long term health effects in survivors.
