Thursday, October 21, 2010

Faculty, Staff, and Students who were absent or only took an composite picture and did
not order pictures September 10th picture taking day, will be able to do so on Thursday,
October 21, 2010. Picture taking envelopes will be sent home in October. Students
requesting a picture retake will require a written note (indicate the reason for the retake)
and attaching it to the students picture packet, then return the whole packet to school on
picture taking day.
Our school service students will also have their pictures taken on Thursday,
October 21, 2010. The school service students include JPO”s, Conflict Managers, Student

TumbleBook Library

TumbleBook Library is an online collection of animated, talking books which

teach young children the joys of reading in a format they’ll love. It is an online
collection of read-along ebooks. These read-alongs highlight the sentences as they
are narrated and turn the pages automatically.

The collection features titles in the following categories:

story books, early readers, chapter books, non-fiction books,
puzzles and games, and new books. Each book entry has a five
question quiz at the end of the reading, a book report form, and
a puzzle or game that reinforce the concepts in the ebook.

Likelike students and parents can access the TumbleBookLibrary collection

from home online any time by logging on to the Likelike Homepage
www.k12.hi.us/~likelike/ and clicking on the ‘Library’ link to get to the library
homepage.

If your child can’t make it to Liliha Library on a week-end,

your child can read an electronic book from TumbleBook Library,
or check our school library’s database for an ebook by clicking:
catalog tab, copy category tab, and clicking the list for eBooks 2010-2011. We
have a collection of approximately 50 eBooks in
our school library collection along with the Tumble Book Library
of approximately 200 hundred ebooks.
