Basic Steps in Data Processing

Six Stages of Data Processing

● Data Collection- Data is collected from various available sources like
data warehouses. The source of such a collection should be
trustworthy.
● Data Preparation- Data collected are cleaned up and organized for
the processing of data. Data is checked for errors and unwanted
data is removed.
● Data Input- Clean data from process 2 is then put to its destination,
where it can be understood and takes the form of usable
information.
● Processing- The data input previously input is processed for
interpretation. Processing is done using various algorithms and the
intention of the data to be used.
● Data output/interpretation- It is the finally usable format of data as
information. Data is readable in forms such as
image,music,video,audio, text, etc
● Data Storage- The processed data collected are stored for future
usage purposes. Storing data would ensure statutory compliance
and it is quickly and easily accessible.
