A Meeting of DKNMU Libraries committee was held in Conference hall, Administrative

block, at 2:30 PM.

As per agenda a discussion is started.

1. Librarian presented the details of Book Purchase of the year 2021-22 and
suggested to provide the additional reference book requests as early as possible. The
committee members agreed to the same and decided to submit the reference book
requests.
2. The Journal & Magazine suggestion List the year 2021-22 collected from
departments was approved by the committee members and decided to subscribe to
ensure the continuity of journal subscription.
3. The Committee members suggested increasing the library use of the student by
providing books and e-resources.
 4. Library committee decided to request faculty for their participation to prepare subject
bibliographies and participation to organize external author talks & book reviews.
5. Acquisition of books & other reference material: Library committee suggested
accepting recommendation from students. Library will compile the list periodically
and circulate to the faculty for their review and approval.

Last Meeting of Library committee was held on 16/01/21 at Conference hall. Minutes of
meeting were read by secretary, and a discussion made among the members and makes it
conform by Chairperson of the committee.

Topic: 2. Discussions on Purchase of books for all departments

Book purchase for the students of all departments as (Engineering, Agriculture, School, Law,
Pharmacy, B.Ed.) will be done as per their requirements as per new syllabus. Committee
agrees with librarian for purchasing of the books and sanctioned for New Session- 2021-22.

Topic: 3. Write- off Books

It is also resolved by the Library committee that concerned libraries prepared a list of old,
unused and damaged books for write-off and put this list in next meeting of Library
committee .Faculty/ Department which have departmental library are also requested to take
the work of stock verification of all transferred books and make sorting of books (unused,
old, damaged etc.) submit list of books (with physical book) in next meeting of library
committee. This work may be completed as soon as possible.

Topic: 4- Discussion on Book–Bank scheme

A Book–Bank scheme is given to needy and clever students. Through this scheme a whole set
of books is provided to student for one academic year. Through this scheme 57 students are
benefitted.

were read by secretary, and a discussion made among the members and makes it conform by
Chairperson of the committee.

Topic: 2. Books and journals

DKNMU Library working committee members discussed the requirements of books for all
faculties and resolved and make the following allocation for books and journals. DKNMU
library working committee also recommended that there should be an allocation of more
funds for purchase of books & Journals as there are heavy demands of books for update the
existing collection and for new courses.it is requested to director, DKNMU kindly make
provision of more grants for the purpose.
Topic: 3. Formation of Library Club

Librarian pointed out the importance of forming a library club in order to inculcate reading
habit among the students. The committee decided to form a library club with the vision of
library cantered learning and multifaceted development of the student community.

Topic: 4. Any other topic (with the permission of the Chair)

 Acquisition of books & other reference material: Library committee suggested accepting
recommendation from students. Library will compile the list periodically and circulate to the
faculty for their review and approval.

 Library committee decided to request faculty for their participation to prepare subject
bibliographies and participation to organize external author talks & book reviews.

The library working committee resolved that point all 1 to 4 should be sent for grant.

Resolution- Last Meeting of Library committee was held on 11/01/21 at Conference hall.
Minutes of meeting were read by secretary, and a discussion made among the members and

Topic: 2. Library Late book Fine

The present fine is 50 paisa per day for fifteen days and after Rs. 1 per day. The DKNMU
library working committee resolved that late fine should be Rs 1 per day from the first day
instead of 50 paisa per day with immediate effect and notice should be displayed on library
notice board. This is to restrict student to return books in time to facilitate other users to get
benefited by the books.
Topic: 3. Purchasing Silence bard, Barcode labels

As per the need requested by the librarian, it was unanimously decided by the committee to
grant permission to purchase silence Boards Barcode labels, Barcode Rippons and
Naphthalene Ball for books that are required for regular routines and maintenance.

Topic: 2-Proposal e-Resources Consortium

University Librarian presented the proposal of consortia for getting access to e-resources for
the academic community of University. Vice Chancellor opined that the proposal is very
innovative and has already been approved by Academic Council of the University. Once it is
approved by the Library Committee the proposal will be placed before the Executive Council
of the University after having discussions with all the HODs.

Topic: 3. Staff Requirement

There is an acute shortage of staff in central library as 2 staff position are vacant. Library
work (Data Entry Maintenance, Block maintenance, Barcode, Digital institutional Repository
and Digitization of rare book) are pending .The Members of Library Committee strongly
recommended that 2 staff should be provided to central library in additional 1 staff Clerical
grade (Computer Operator). The member also recommended that one Clerical staff should be
provides to Education Library

minutes of the meeting held on 11/03/20 and it was unanimously resolved to

Topic: 3. Working Hours of Library

The committee discussed about the working hours of the college library to
make it convenient for student to utilized the library facilities beyond the
college working hours. As the university working hours is 9:00am to 5:00 pm
.after discussion and concern of the librarian the library hours was decided to
be from 9:00 am to 8:30 pm .

Item No: 2. - Discussion on sale of Library membership forms

Every student who wish to become a library member, should fill a prescribed library
membership from which is available in the library sale at cost of Rs. 10/. Only. In this
academic year 2018-19, 1735 form were sold Rs 17350- collected. All amount is
deposite in the office time to time.

Item No: 3-Discussion on Sale of Raddi

Quotations invited from various waste paper merchant from Tonk city for the sale of
waste paper which is available in the college Library. After receiving the of the
quotations highest rates quotation is sanctioned by chairperson Library committee
and amount collected from waste paper sale is cash to office at same day. Following
chart shows that weight of waste paper and the amount.

1. Confirmation of the minutes of last meeting Last Meeting of Library

committee was held on 19/10/2018 at Conference hall. Minutes of meeting
were read by secretary, and a discussion made among the members and
makes it conform by Chairperson of the committee.

2.Discussion on regarding price recovery -Books were lost by student and staff
and price of such books is recovered from concerned. Price of 4 books Rs.
590/- and Rs. 125/- of one book is recovered and submitted to office.

3-Proposal e-Resources Consortium: University Librarian presented the

proposal of consortia for getting access to e-resources for the academic
community of University. Vice Chancellor opined that the proposal is very
innovative and has already been approved by Academic Council of the
University. Once it is approved by the Library Committee the proposal will be

Topic: 2. Discussions on Purchase of books for all departments

Book purchase for the students of all departments as (Engineering, Agriculture, School, Law,
Pharmacy, B.Ed.) will be done as per their requirements as per new syllabus. Committee
agrees with librarian for purchasing of the books and sanctioned for New Session- 2021-22.
Topic: 3. Write- off Books

It is also resolved by the Library committee that concerned libraries prepared a list of old,
unused and damaged books for write-off and put this list in next meeting of Library
committee .Faculty/ Department which have departmental library are also requested to take
the work of stock verification of all transferred books and make sorting of books (unused,
old, damaged etc.) submit list of books (with physical book) in next meeting of library
committee. This work may be completed as soon as possible.

Topic: 4- Discussion on Book–Bank scheme

A Book–Bank scheme is given to needy and clever students. Through this scheme a whole set
of books is provided to student for one academic year. Through this scheme 57 students are
benefitted.

library working committee also recommended that there should be an allocation of more
funds for purchase of books & Journals as there are heavy demands of books for update the
existing collection and for new courses.it is requested to director, DKNMU kindly make
provision of more grants for the purpose.

Topic: 3. Formation of Library Club

Librarian pointed out the importance of forming a library club in order to inculcate reading
habit among the students. The committee decided to form a library club with the vision of
library cantered learning and multifaceted development of the student community.

 Acquisition of books & other reference material: Library committee suggested accepting
recommendation from students. Library will compile the list periodically and circulate to the
faculty for their review and approval.

 Library committee decided to request faculty for their participation to prepare subject

1-Proposal e-Resources Consortium

University Librarian presented the proposal of consortia for getting
access to e-resources for the academic community of University. Vice
Chancellor opined that the proposal is very innovative and has
already been approved by Academic Council of the University. Once
it is approved by the Library Committee the proposal will be placed
before the Executive Council of the University after having
discussions with all the HODs.

2. Discussion on Disposal of “Write off Books” Library committee

decided to write off 877 books. Book Exhibition of write off books is
arranged and sale is arranged in the Library on 28 march to 3 august ,
2017 for write off books.

3. Staff Requirement

There is an acute shortage of staff in central library as 2 staff position

are vacant. Library work (Data Entry Maintenance, Block
maintenance, Barcode, Digital institutional Repository and
Digitization of rare book) are pending .The Members of Library
Committee strongly recommended that 2 staff should be provided to
central library in additional 1 staff Clerical grade (Computer
Operator). The member also recommended that one Clerical staff

and the amount.
