Lesson 1: The Physical Self

Instruction: Draw or paste a picture of the person who you think is beautiful or
handsome. Write your reason below your drawing/photo as to why you think they are
the beautiful or handsome.

The picture above is my Mama and Papa. They are the one I pasted
because they are beautiful and handsome inside and out. Even though we are
not rich they used to give my personal needs especially in terms of school.
They supported and love me every day. They give me the best care and love
that nobody can do to me. They make me happy in a way on how they treated
and discipline as their daughter. I appreciated all their sacrifices to me even if
it big and small. Mama and Papa is the best thing that God has given to me.
Even if sometimes I do bad things I really love them so much. They are really
a real image of beautiful and handsome for me. That’s why I am doing my
very best to make them proud. I will finish school and get a job so I can pay
back their sacrifices they made for me.

Instruction: Answer the following debriefing questions. Write your answers on the
space provided.

1. How do you define beauty?

 Beauty for me is how you treated people. Beauty for me is an attitude and
manner you used to show on the people around you.

2. Do you see yourself beautiful/handsome? Expound your answer.

 Yes. I am beautiful in my own way. I can never make myself ugly because
God made me. I am beautiful with a heart. I am beautiful because I have been
love by God, by my parents, my family, and all by myself.

3. If you are given time, money and resources, what part of your body do you wish
to change?
 For me there is no one have to be change. God made me the way I look
today. My body is complete and it is beautiful. I am perfectly imperfect as
they said. I confident and contented of what I have now and I have nothing
to change in my body. The money that will be given will use is important to
be gave to those people who are hungry and poor. Why should we make
things mess if there is a better way? And that is why I have nothing to
change in my body.

4. What could be the reason or what contributed to your concept of beauty?

 The reason would be is everything we had now is beautiful. We should make
a deep meaning of things we had and who we are enable for us to find the
real beauty. The beauty is within us. We make the beauty of our selves. And
we should be thankful for that.
