The different principles of teaching according to Horne and Pine are learning is an

experience which occurs inside the learner and is activated by the learner, learning is

the discovery of the personal meaning and relevance of ideas, learning is a

consequence of experience, learning is a cooperating and collaborative process,

learning is an evolutionary process, learning is sometimes painful, one of the richest

resources for learning is the learner himself, the process of learning is emotional as well

as intellectual, and the process of problem solving and learning is highly unique and

individual. As part of the lesson, we have answered two activities connected, as well as

a group work that involves making a pictograph. The main idea is that with these

principles, teachers will be guided on how to teach.

Other principles of learning also include the laws of learning according to

Thorndike, which are Law of Effect, Law of Exercise, Law of Readiness, Law of

Primacy, Law of Recency, Law of Intensity, and Law of Freedom. There are also the

Principles of Learning in Public Schools which are similar to the already given

principles.

Today, I feel great about learning the lesson. It was quite familiar, as they are not

really new information but I still learned a lot and I enjoyed reading the material. It was

also fun working with some of my block mates making the pictograph as it seemed a

very long time since we worked together. As I have said before, I will apply the lesson

through valuing the significance of learning, as it is vital in my growth and development

not only as a career professional, but also a human-being.
