ACTIVITY 2.
Study the Reading on Portfolios from the Glossary of Education Reform. Based on your reading,
reflect on the following questions and jot down your answers in your Study Notebook:
1. How will your Portfolio help you in tracking the progress of your teaching practice in
your School’s LDM?

2. What evidence from the previous modules will help capture the progress of your teaching
practice?

3. Why is writing down your reflections an integral part of your Portfolio?

ANSWERS:

1. It helps to determine and address some difficulties in delivery and retrieval on the
implementation of the school’s LDM. It also helps in planning the modes and strategies on
teaching practices on the implementation of the DepEd Programs on “No Learners shall be Left
Behind” on this pandemic situation.

2. The following served as evidences in capturing the progress of the teaching practice:
⮚ Individual Development Plan
⮚ At least 2 recorded lessons (online learning)
⮚ Weekly Home Learning Plans
⮚ Professional Portfolio
⮚ Rapid Assessment Tool on Validity of downloaded Learning Materials from
Portal and Non Portals
⮚ Certificates from different webinars regarding new teaching styles in the new normal
education

3. Writing your personal thoughts on a particular topic or subject gives you a clear picture of
scenario or activity. It widens your knowledge and gives you time to create, evaluate and assess
a specific situation that you could help or use in the future and other references.

ACTIVITY 3

Familiarize yourself with the List of Suggested Evidence Form. Is the list of evidence enough to
capture the progress of your teaching practice? What other evidence can you think of that is
relevant to the LDM adopted by your School? Write down your answers and other insights in
your Study Notebook.

ANSWERS:
Another practice that could be suitable and aligned into our LDM is the “e-kamusta or personal
home visit” for our learners aside from the usual Home Visitation Program we got before. Let
us allow our teachers to give a personal countermeasure to our struggling and affecting learners
and personally allow us to give priority to their needs and give proper solutions.

ACTIVITY 4
In your LAC Session, discuss your answers and thoughts on the questions from Activities 2 and
3 with your colleagues.

ANSWERS:
Being familiar with the different activities set for our students and handled by us, tasks like these
are really tough, technical and needs personal assessment and patience as well. We have to
carry out those particular actions and solutions to give our learners proper ways to attain the
kind of education that they need. We have to properly collect ourselves in the aspect of our
mental, physical but our whole selves to give the needs of our learners.

ACTIVITY 5
Based on the sharing and discussion in your LAC, finalize your list of evidence in the
List of Suggested Evidence Form and submit to your LAC Leader. Make sure that you keep a
copy for yourself.

LESSON 2: THE EVALUATION RUBRIC

ACTIVITY 1
Study the criteria and indicators found in the Evaluation Rubric. What steps will you take to
ensure that you are able to hit the criteria in the Rubric? Write down your answers and any other
thoughts about the Rubric in your Study Notebook.

ANSWERS:
⮚ The outputs must be completed. There is also a need for collaboration among co-
teachers as it helps in sharing insights in the sessions. This leads to realization and
understanding of the contents and giving solutions to problems. Also it is important to
have plans in attaining the goals for the activities.

ACTIVITY 2
Discuss and share your thoughts on the Rubric in your LAC Session. Present your steps to make
your outputs and Portfolio responsive to the evaluation criteria and indicators. Take note of your
colleagues’ other insights as well.

ANSWERS:
The following were gathered insights in making out of Portfolio:
⮚ Putting up drop-up points and assigning teachers-in-charge to every designated area in
distribution and retrieval of printed modules.
⮚ Indicate with a maximum attainable 5 relevant strands in IPCRF.
⮚ Submitting draft portfolio to the leader and coach for corrections before submission of
final outputs.
⮚ Asking for assistance from the leader and coach for the proper organization of
Portfolios.
⮚ Coordination with Barangay LGU and PTA on the manner of distributing and retrieving
learners’ printed modules.

As a final reminder, make sure that you are able to collect the evidence of your teaching practice as
you have listed, and organize these into a Portfolio. At the end of the year, you will submit your
Portfolio to your LAC Leader, who will announce the specific date and manner of submission.

Congratulations! You have completed the LDM 2 Course. Good luck on your LDM implementation,
Teacher!
