4. Arrange the following statements in chronological order by writing number 1 to 6 beside


the item number.
i. Furthermore, the trade increased in size when in the 1770s the French opened up
plantations of sugar in Mauritius and Reunion.
ii. However, the indigenous chiefs in the hinterland of East Africa participated fully
in the trade because it was their source of political and economic power.
iii. Slave trade was a trade which involved selling of human being like other
commodities.
