cruelty-free beauty world. Our brand has a tremendous commitment to quality and purity
and never tests on animals— and products are free from toxic chemicals. The Basic
cosmetic line strives to create the world’s cruelty-free, vegan-friendly and all-natural line
of cosmetics, beauty products, and skincare. Our vegan cosmetics are formulated with
high-performing antioxidants, naturally occurring vitamins, and essential oils to give users
skin maximum benefits.

B. Mission and Vision

The Basic mission is to become a global personal care brand, which encourages a more
conscious culture. The Basic cosmetic brand wants to change every single unsustainable
practice in the beauty industry. We want to end the use of chemicals, plastics, and all
testing on animals within the skincare industry – setting precedence. Its vision is to
initiate change by guiding consumers towards a more environmental and vegan-friendly
product user. We aim to be recognized by setting standards in any cosmetic products
whereas becoming the customer’s natural first choice when selecting personal care
products.

This brand does not necessitate any demographic details. Simply a user of any beauty
products is what The Basic cosmetic brand targets. It also targets users who are
into quality skincare, beauty, and fragrance products and are open to a medium to high
price range. Since our brand provides cruelty-free products at a range of price points,
customers will be drawn to it, and ethically-driven personal care product choices will
influence their preferences. We want every person who uses chemical-based beauty
products to change their minds and gravitate toward “natural” and safe alternatives. We
want to initiate changes where consumers will switch to kinder products. With such a
diverse group of target buyers, everyone can begin to understand the environmental and
economic advantages of using mineral and plant-based products rather than those
infused with animal-derived ingredients.

II. Situation Analysis

A. Social issue/s to be addressed by the organization

Animal testing is the ugly side of the beauty industry. This is one of today’s social issues
that any business in the beauty industry should resolve and take action. Animal testing in
the cosmetics industry has always been a controversial topic, which plays a vital role in
the development and safety of cosmetics, but at the same time, it seriously violates the
survival rights of experimental animals. Further to that, animal testing has a massive
impact on our society as humans are harmed by misleading animal testing results. The
potential reactions of animals could be utterly unrelated to humans. Imprecise results
from animal experiments may result in clinical trials of biologically faulty or even harmful
substances, thereby exposing consumers to unnecessary risk. Experimenting
on animals is unacceptable because it causes suffering to animals, and the benefits to
human beings are not proven. With this, The Basic cosmetic brand stands against animal
testing. This particular social and ethical issue is what this business will take action to
and resolve.

B. Proposed solution/s to the identified social issue

As The Basic is committed to the ethical treatment of both humans and animals, our step
in solving this social issue is by practicing testing methods that do not require animal
testing. Our cosmetic line will go for alternative methods of testing as FDA allows a
company to take whatever steps necessary to prove product safety. With our alternative
method for testing, we are open to human volunteers. Human volunteers can now
replace animals in specific studies at advanced stages of the testing process. It is now
common for skin sensitivity testing of cosmetics to be based on work done with human
volunteers. In connection to that, our brand will alone use cruel-free and natural products.
We will harness the best certified organic and natural ingredients to deliver clinically
validated results that do not compromise the users' wellbeing or the earths.

Furthermore, the brand will be part of the growing number of advocates of ending animal
testing whereby continuing to raise awareness among consumers and to campaign to
make sure any industries will become more transparent around their practices. Things
are slowly changing, but cosmetics will only become entirely cruelty-free by pursuing
current scientific efforts and advocacy work. The brand is serious about how it sources its

The Basic will be a cosmetics manufacturing company with its own manufacturing
laboratories and a large store where its products will be sold. Since the company claims
to be a vegan-friendly and natural product, it will ensure that all ingredients purchased
from suppliers are all-natural. This would be accomplished by doing extensive research
on the company's prospective ingredient supplier. Every employee in this business is
instructed on the business operation, including all rules, regulations, and internet
etiquette. It would expressly prohibit animal experimentation during the manufacturing
and testing processes. The business campaign will be carried out by partnering on each
product that the brand releases. Every product is partnered with a campaign aimed at
