Performance of inter-state transaction under ONORC:

• ONORC (One Nation One Ration Card) empowers all migrant
beneficiaries to seamlessly access their NFSA food grains/benefits
anywhere in the country.
• Recently, the government shared the data for Inter-state
transactions done under ONORe.

• A monthly average of about 2.2 Crore portability transactions

(including inter-/intra-State and PM-GKAY foodgrain transactions)
are being recorded consistently in the States/UTs o It's the new
data shared by the Ministry; it's different from the one given in
your ARD CA Compilation Part-1 Page number 62).
• The top Home State (Having maximum Outward transitions) is
Uttar Pradesh.
• The t op Destination State (Having maximum Inward Transaction)
is Delhi.
The composite Global Hunger Index score of India
improved from 38.9 to 27.2 in 2020:
• The latest Global Hunger Index (GHI) was released in
October 2020.
• But the Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs,
Food and Public Distribution recently boasted about India's
improvement, so its main points have been included here.
• The composite GHI scores of India have improved from
38.9 in 2000 to 27.2 in 2020.
About Global Hunger Index IGHIl:
e-Daakhil portal
• It's an online portal. launched by the Ministry of
Consumer Affairs, that enables consumers to file their
grievances online, in the Consumer Commission of their
choice.
Hallmarkinig Unique ID (HUID)
• Context: Hallmarking of Gold Jewellery & Gold artefacts has
been made mandatory from 16th June 2021 in 256 districts of
the country. One of the most contentious provisions in the new
guidelines is with regards to the HUID. 16
• HUID is a unique six-digit alphanumeric code that will be given
to every piece of jewellery at the time of hallmarking. • It will
be helpful in identifying the jeweller or the Assaying and
Hallmarking Centres (AHCs) which had hallmarked the
jewellery.
• The gold j ewellery industry has been opposing the HUIO
system because tagging every jewellery piece is a cumbersome
process.

99.7 per cent payment of MGNREGA wages being made
through e-transfer
• In the e-transfer system, the payment is cred ited to the
Ba nk/Post office account of the beneficiary directly.
• At present 99.7 % of MGNREGA payment is made
through e-transfer ( in all over the India except 4
Integrated Action Plan (lAP) districts of Chhattisgarh and
42 blocks of Manipur State).
❑ MGNREGA Wage revision to adjust for inflation is linked
with CPI-AL (Consumer Price Index for Agricultural
Labour) and NOT CPI-Rural (CPI-R)
❑ There is a huge persistent debate around this fact. We

Mahatma Gandhi NREGA Entitlement Awareness Week
conducted nationally as part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav
• As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, States/UTs
conducted Entitlement Awareness Week to make workers
aware about their rights and entitlements under
MGNREGA.
• The week was observed between 27th August to 2nd
September 2021.
Atmanirbhar Narishakti Se Samvad
• Recently, PM Modi participated in 'Atmanirbhar
Narishakti se Samvad' organised by the Ministry of Rura l
Development.
• It was an event to interact with women Self Help Group
(SHG) members promoted under the Oeendayal
Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural livelihoods Mission
(DAY-NRLM).
Announcements made by PM during the event:
➢ PM released the capitalization support funds to the
tune of Rs. 1625 Crore to over 4 lakh SHGs.
➢ In add ition, he also released Rs. 25 crore as seed
money for 7500 SHG members under the PMFME (PM
Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises)
scheme of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries.
Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh launches Yuktdhara GIS-
based "Ianning "ortal
• Union Minister of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj
Shri Giriraj Singh recently launched Yuktdhara GIS·based
planning Portal.
• The portal will help Ministries and Departments to see
the geographical location of planned assets on a map in
the web-based system.
• It's developed on the Bhuvan Platform by National
Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC). ISRO.

People's Plan Campaign: 'Sabki Yojna Sabka Vikas’
• Background: Under the Constitution, Gram Panchayats
have been mandated for the preparation of the Gram
Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for economic
development and social justice. An effective GPDP
planning process has to be comprehensive and based on
the participatory process.
To make the process of GPDP more participatory, the
"People's Plan Campaign" was started by the Ministry of
Panchayati Raj.
People's plan campaign (PPC)
➢ People's Plan Campaign (PPC) is a strategy for ensuring
the preparation of GPDP in a pa rticipatory and
campaign mode.
➢ PPC 2020 was rolled out from 2nd October 2020 to 31
stJanuary 2021. It was titled 'Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas',
Du ring the campaign, structured Gram Sabha meetings
were held for preparing the GPDP for the next financial
year (2021-22).
About Gram Panchayat Deyelopment plan (GPDP): 18
❑ Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) is an annual
exercise carried out by Ministry of Panchayati Raj
(MoPR) in all Gram panchayats in all states and UTs,
❑ Under it, the Gram panchayat development pla ns are
prepared in a participatory manner under the people's
Plan Cam paign.
Aboyt Yilla&e poverty Redyction plans (VPRP);
❑ As per the joint advisory issued by the Ministry of Rural
Development and Ministry of Panchayati Raj, all SHGs
promote under the DAY-NRLM and their federations
are mandated to prepare a Vi llage Poverty Re duction
Plans (VPRP).
❑ The VPRP is presented in Gram Sabha for integration
into the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP).
Ministry of Panchayati Raj to organize a national webinar
on 'Zero Hunger by 2030' as part of Azadi Ka Arnrit
Mahotsav
• As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Ministry of
Panchayati Raj organized a Webinar, 'Localization of
Sustainable Development Goals and Role of Panchayats -
Goal No, 2- Zero Hunger.
• "Zero hunger" by 2030 is the 2nd Sustainable
Development Goal (SDG-2).
• The webinar was ai med at sensitizing the leaders at the
grassroots level on India's position in fighting hunger.
