4. Aid Measure
IF INHALED : Remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for
breathing and keep warm. When breathing stops, do artificial respiration
on victim after loosening clothing and securing the breathing respiratory
tract by using a pocket mask with the countercurrent prevention and other
appropriate medical respiratory apparatus. Immediately call a doctor.
IF ON SKIN : Wash skin immediately and remove the product sticking completely.
May cause skin damage if washing is late or insufficient. Take off all
contaminated clothing immediately and wash with plenty of running water.
Rinse skin with plenty of running water and soap. Get medical advice/
attention.
IF IN EYES : Wash eyes immediately and remove the product completely. May cause
eye damage if washing is late or insufficient. Rinse cautiously with
enough water for more than 15 minutes.Get immediate medical advice/
attention. Open the eyelid fully by using finger, and rinse with water in
every corner of eye.
Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
IF SWALLOWED : Rinse mouth. Give the victim one or two glasses of water or milk. Do
not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical advice/ attention. If
necessary, do artificial respiration or oxygen inhalation on victim by using
a pocket mask with the countercurrent prevention and other appropriate
medical respiratory apparatus. If the victim is unconscious, do not anything
from a mouth. Lean the victim not to come into the trachea when the
victim vomits.
Protection of a person : Wear rubber gloves and gas mask. Remove all the contaminated clothing
taking an emergency and protective equipment. Avoid touching the hazard by wearing gloves.
measure If the victim swallows the product, do not use mouth-to-mouth breathing.
Use a pocket mask with the countercurrent prevention and other

appropriate medical respiratory apparatus.

Special instructions to : The influence (symptoms of the edema of the lungs) by the inhalation of
doctors the halogen gas often appears later on and turns worse if not keeping rest.
Rest and follow-up are indispensable.

5.Fire
5. Fighting Measure
Appropriate fire : Plenty of water. This product itself is not flammable.
extinguishing media
Inappropriate fire : Because harmful halogen gas is generated by contact with the acid, avoid
extinguishing media using carbon dioxide and the acid dry chemicals.
Specific hazard at fire : Harmful halogen gas is generated because of thermal decomposition.
Prevent leakage or scattering.
Specific Firefighting : Evacuate the people in the disastrous and dangerous area to safety zone.
Measure Prohibit enter of people around the area with fire, except for the authorized
personnel. Control the released product or fire-fighting water not to flow
directly into sewer, river, or marine area. Extinguish the fire from the
windward. Attention should be given because harmful hydrogen halide gas
is generated by thermal decomposition. If possible, move the container
from the area with fire to a safe area promptly. If impossible to move the
container, sprinkle water on and around the container to cool down.
Protection for the person : Wear heat resistant gloves, goggle-type protective glasses and air
extinguishing fire respirator.

6.Accidental
6. Release Measure
Caution to human : Wear rubber gloves, goggle-type protective glasses, protective clothing,
rubber protective boots and gas mask when treating leakage.
Prohibit enter of people into the site where the product leaks by putting a
rope. Only the authorized personnel can enter. Work from the
windward.
Protective Equipment and : Wear proper protective equipment to avoid the contact of splash with
Measure for Emergency skin and the inhalation of gas. See “8. Exposure Control and Personal
Protection”.
Caution to Environment : Take care that the released or spilled product does not flow directly into
river or environment and contaminate them.
Enclosure and Depuration : If the released product is not much, use sawdust or waste cloth to absorb
Measure/Machinery and the leakage. If the large amount of product is released, surround it by
Materials mounds to prevent its outflow and handle it after bringing it to the safe
place. Keep collected leakage in an airtight polyethylene container.
Pay attention not to let the thick waste fluid flow into the sewerage and
river.

7.Handling
7. and Storage
Handling
Technical Measure : Prevent leakage, overflow and splash, and also do not produce mist.
Prepare an appropriate facility, and wear protective apparatus not to
touch the product with eyes, skin and clothing. See “8. Exposure
Control and Personal Protection”.
Local or Whole Area : Prepare local ventilation and whole ventilation as required.
Ventilation See “8. Exposure Control and Personal Protection”.
Caution : Use the product only outside or in a well ventilated area.
Understand the content of “2. Summary of Hazards” well, and avoid the
product contacting with human body.
Precautions for Safe : Avoid contact with acids, as the product is alkaline. Wear rubber
Handling gloves, goggle-type protective glasses, protective clothing, rubber
protective boots and gas mask when handling. Halogen gas is
produced by contact with acid or decrease of pH. Seal the container
after handling, and wash hands and face well and gargle. Dispose
products immediately after the warranty expires.
Storage
[ORPERSION E2661A, ORGANO CORPORATION, GHS-JCIA2, 01/Sep./2017, 4/6]

Technical Measure : Store the product in an airtight container with avoiding direct sunlight.
Keep it in a cool and dark place.
Because decomposition is promoted by heavy metal (cobalt, nickel,
chrome, copper, iron), prevent heavy metal from getting into the stored
container.
Proper Storage : See “10 . Stability and Reactivity”. Contact with the dangerous
Condition substance for mixing is prohibited. Store in airtight container, in
well-ventilated cool and dark place, avoiding direct sunlight. Store
the product with keeping away from acid, metal and combustibles.
Safe Packing Material : Do not use iron container because the product has corrosiveness to iron.
Use vinyl chloride or polyethylene.
Avoid storing the product for a long term in a thin polyethylene
container such as the bag-in-box.

8.Exposure
8. Controls and Personal Protection
Facility : Equip a shower room, hand washer and eye washer near the working area and
ensure that the location of the facility is well announced to the workers.
Ensure a local exhausting if fume or mist occurs.
Control : Not determined
concentration
Allowable : Not determined
concentration
Protective : Respiratory organ : If mist occurs, use a supplied-air respirator:
Equipment gas mask for halogen gas, supplied-air
respirator, air breathing apparatus, and so on.
Hands : Impermeable gloves (rubber gloves, etc.)
Eyes : Goggle-type safety glasses
Skin and Body : Vinyl protective cloth, rubber protective
boots
Proper sanitation : Wash hands and gargle after handling the product, then drink, eat, and so on.

.Stability and Reactivity

10.
Stability : Instable with air, heat, light and metal. Compound of the product is
decomposed gradually to produce harmful/corrosive halogen gas.
Possibility of Hazardous : Heat is generated when mixed with acids, as the product is alkaline.
Reactions Harmful/corrosive halogen gas is prodused by reaction with acids.
Contact with water prohibitive substance may cause fire or explosion
because the product contains water.
Conditions to be avoided : Avoid direct sunlight or contact with high temperature liquids.
Because the product is corrosive, do no use an iron container.
Dangerous substance to be : Metals, acids, organic materials, oxidants, reducing agents, amines
mixed with
Hazardous Decomposition : Halogen gas(when heated or combustion occurs)
