Taal Batangas

Taal, officially the Municipality of Taal, is a 3rd

class municipality in the province of Batangas,
Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has
a population of 56,327 people.

The town continued to prosper during the

Spanish era and produced some of the country’s
bravest national heroes including Don Felipe
Agoncillo, a revolutionary hero and a diplomat;
his wife Doña Marcela Marino Agoncillo, best
known for making the Philippine Flag

Taal Volcano is a large caldera filled by Taal Lake in the

Philippines. Located in the province of Batangas, the volcano
is one of the most active volcanoes in the country, with 34
Police – 2142 – 167 recorded historical eruptions, all of which were concentrated
on Volcano Island, near the middle of Taal Lake.
