WHAT CAUSES THE ILLNESSES?
HOW THIS INFECTION IS
Gonorrhea is caused by the
bacteria “Neisseria
Gonorrhoeae” and can be
spread with any type of sexual
activity. It can be contracted by
contact with the mouth, throat,
eyes, urethra, vagina, penis or
anus.
WHAT CAUSES GONORREA?
• Burning when urinating
• Need to urinate more often
than usual.
• Pus or white, yellow or green
discharge from the penis.
• Swelling or redness in the
opening of the penis.
• Pain and / or swelling in one or
both testicles.
TRANSMITTED?
You can get gonorrhea by having
anal, vaginal and oral sex with a
person who has this disease
WHICH IS THE TREATMENT?
AND PREVENTION?
Treatment:
• Visit your sexual health clinic
to get tested.
• Easily diagnosed by testing a
discharge sample, or in case
of men, a urine sample.
• It´s important to get tested as
soon as possible, otherwise,
can lead to more serious
health problems.
Prevention
• Use male/female condoms
every time you have sex.
• Do not share sex toys.
