Introduction

The Mitsubishi FD70-100NH truck is designed to power pure performance. Built for load capacities of
7.0 to 10.0 tons, the heart of the truck’s rugged performance lies in its solid Isuzu 6BG1 direct-
injection 6.5-litre diesel engine. With an output of 84.6kW—a top industry achievement—this
impressive truck promises unrivalled excellent performance in harsh outdoor environments
subjected to changing seasons and inclement conditions.

The FD70-100NH series of trucks are designed to be simple, strong and reliable.

Simple

With the technology available in today’s world, a forklift truck might prove to be too sophisticated
for efficient usage and uptime. The FD70-100NH is designed to be a basic work horse with minimum
complexity. Minimal electronics and a high capacity conventional engine ensure that truck is not
bogged down by diagnostic codes that are actually minor problems. Repairs can be done easily and
quickly due to the simple design.

Strong

Driven by one of the most powerful engines in its class, the FD70-100NH boasts both strength and
speed. The massive loads it can handle do not hamper its speed, making it one of the fastest and
most efficient of machines in the industry.

The truck’s strong and rigid mast is complemented by a thoughtful layout of end and side rollers that
reduces swaying and enhances stability. The mast system ensures strength and durability through
inner mast channels with a greater cross section and more rollers than most models. These multiple
adjustable rollers pervade the inner mast channels, providing intricate balance for managing side
and off-centre loads, improving overall efficiency and performance.
Reliable

With a simple design, the truck has no complicated or sophisticated system that can sometimes be
hard to trouble shoot or repair. The downtime therefore will be minimized significantly and
customers can be ensured of a good reliable truck. The Isuzu 6BG1 engine has proven its toughness
over time and known to be a favourite in the market.

The FD70-100NH can easily navigate in gravel, dirt and other common outdoor terrains. Popular on
construction sites as well as in lumber yards, brick and stone distribution centres, metal industries
and heavy duty manufacturing plants, this large all-terrain forklift is engineered to be extremely
durable and efficient in all conditions.

Equipped with one of the most powerful engine

in its class, the 7 – 8 tonners are easily one of the
most powerful trucks in the industry. In fact, it is
easily more powerful than a common rail
electronic engine that is designed to power the
6-7 ton trucks.

Noise level at operator’s ear is at 85db(A).

Automatic transmission control and electric

Shift Lever
With automatic transmission control, the
travelling speed can be increased smoothly from
a dead stop to top speed simply by pressing the
accelerator pedal. This eliminates the need to
change gears by hand and produces great
manoeuvrability.
The electric shift lever makes it easy to change
the direction of travel and ensures smooth load
handling.
Glove box with pen holder

A versatile holder that can be used for holding

pen and gloves or beverage can. The
compartment is located on the right of the
dashboard and is easily within the arm’s reach
for easy deposition and retrieval.

Display

An analogue display that shows critical

information of the truck. Critical information like
fuel level and water temperature level are in
gauge form to allow operator to monitor the
level changes.

Safety

Double action parking brake

The toggle lever on conventional models can be

released accidentally when the operator gets on
or off.
The FD70-100NH is equipped with a push button
on the top of the parking brake lever to prevent
unintentional release of the lever. The lever can
only be released if operator press the push
button then push the parking brake lever
forward.

Travel hydraulic interlock

Travel hydraulic interlock is a standard feature

for FD70-100NH. Under the suspension seat is a
seat switch to sense operator presence. In the
situation whereby operator presence is not
detected, the hydraulic levers will be locked up
and transmission will be set to neutral. To
prevent disruption to operation, there is a time
lapse of about 3 seconds before the truck
becomes inoperable.

This model is also equipped with parking brake

warning alarm. During operation, if operator
presence is not detected while the parking brake
is released, the warning buzzer will sound off.
The warning buzzer will also sound off when the
parking brake is released while the key switch is
turned to off.

Neutral Interlock

The engine cannot be started if the FNR lever is not in the neutral position. This standard feature
eliminates unnecessary accidents and allows operator to place more focus on the work.
Transmission

This model is equipped with a 2 speed forward

and 2 speed reverse transmission throughout its
tonnage range. A toggle switch is used to select
the different transmission modes. The modes
are explained as below.

Reliability

Durable and rigid mast

The inner mast channels have a greater cross

section and a larger number of rollers than most
competitors’, thus ensuring great strength and
durability

The side loads on the lift bracket are carried by

rollers on both sides. The retaining rollers on
both sides of the inner mast channels are
installed to reduce the possibility of wear on the
mast channels and to handle off-centre loads.
Dust Indicator

The dust indicator is installed as a standard for

this unit and is good for users to determine
when the air filter is choked. This also helps
users to determine when to service or replace
the air filter

LED Lights

LED lights are a standard for this model. They are

more energy saving and durable. They are also
more resistant to vibration damage as compared
to filament type.

Front – Head lamp, turn signal lamp

Rear – combination lamps of back up, brake and

turn signal.

Pre cleaner is effective in trapping larger particle of dusts from going into the air filter, thereby

Radiator Screen DSR006/8

Functions

Radiator screen is installed to prevent debris like fibres and cotton from accumulating on radiator
fins. The screen can be removed for cleaning easily.

DSR006: 6 x 6 mesh / Square inch

DSR008: 8 x 8 mesh / Square inch

There are 2 sizes. 8 x 8 mesh has higher trapping capacity than 6 x 6 mesh and is ideal for
environment whereby the debris are finer.

Seatbelt interlock option only allows operator to start the truck if the seat switch and seat belt
sensors have been activated in a sequential way. In the event whereby the seat switch or seat belt is

Functions

Standard exhaust pipe is expelling the exhaust gas at around human height level and might also blow
up dust and dirt which can be unacceptable for some worksites. Upright exhaust pipe redirects the
exhaust gas high up into the air thereby eliminating all these problems.

Functions

The catalytic exhaust purifier is a muffler that can be installed for the following purposes.

Tilt Cylinder Boots TLB

Functions

Tilt cylinder boots are recommended to be installed in dusty areas whereby the dirt and dust may
cause the seals to leak prematurely. This option is also suitable for painting industry as the paint
drops might land on the tilt piston rod and cause the seals to be damaged through tilting actions.
