2 Introduction Hello and welcome to my professional

development on Padlet. In this meeting,
I am going to show you how to
implement Padlet into your lessons.
Padlet is a digital notice board that can
enhance any learning experience. This
digital notice board I able to feature
images, links, videos, and documents.
Padlet can be used as an alternative to
“normal”assessment by using it as an
online curation tool, as a collaborative
space for team projects, or as a way for
students to demonstrate their learning in
various ways.

3 Opening Activity Before we get started, I want you to go

to this website and answer each
statement by selecting the thumbs up
for things you can do and or the thumbs
down for things you cannot do.

4 Going over the Opening (Live) Looking at your answers, I see most do
not have a Padlet account. So I want
you to go ahead and get one. Open
your web browser an go to Padlet.com.
Select the “Sign-Up” button. I suggest
you sign up using your E-number
google account. This way, you will be
able to hare your Padlets with your
students in Google Classroom. If you
already have a Padlet accountthrough
your E-number, go ahead and log in.

5 How you can use Padlet in your classroom. Once you have created a new account,
Padlet will give you the option to create
a new Padlet. But before we get into
that, I want to show you this video about
what you can do in your class using
Padlet.

6 Different ways to differentiate This is when I will use differentiation by

giving you all options on what you all
want to go over. If you are totally new to
Padlet, click on the “Steps to creating a
Padlet” handout. If you have heard of
Padlet and know a little about Padlet,
click on the “Padlet Tips” handout. And
if you have used Padlet at least once,
click on the “Creative Ways to Use
Padlet” handout to gain some more
ideas. I have also created breakout
rooms for each handout. Go ahead and
join the whichever breakout room you
choose. I will give you all 10 minutes to
read and discuss a these handouts, and
then we will come back to the main
meeting to discuss what you have
learned.

7 Discussion Activity While visiting your breakout rooms, I

heard a lot of great ideas. Go ahead
and go to this Padlet and let me know
how you plan to use Padlet in your
classrooms in order to differentiate your
lessons for student learning and/or
engagement.
Let’s view and discuss some of your
ideas.

8 Ending Thank you all for listening and

participating in this Professional
Development. I hope you all have
learned something and can take what
you learned into your classroom! If you
have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me via email. I have
