A. BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Physical fitness is essential to your overall health. Being physically fit helps you become
energetic, Focused and confident. In this unit you will learn about your own level of physical fitness
and how You can stay physically fit. When you are physically fit, you have more time to enjoy life.
You are Also less prone to become sick.

B. CONTENT STANDARDS
The learner demonstrates understanding of participation and assessment of physical activity
and Physical fitness.

C. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS
The learner participates and assesses performance in physical activities

D. LEARNING COMPETENCY
Assesses regularly participation in physical activities based on the Philippine physical activity
Pyramid.

E. OBJECTIVES
1. Perform the different physical fitness tests.
2. Name the importance of physical fitness.
3. Observe safety precautions.

H. LESSON PROPER
One’s physical fitness can be measured by performing different tests. The results of these
tests can be recorded and compared with physical fitness standards. The standards vary according
to Age and gender.
