I. Introduction
Rationale
Hello there! Have you ever experienced being frustrated over failing to solve a
problem or giving the right judgment because you didn’t listen well? Wouldn’t it be
easier for us to solve problems or give a good opinion about something if we listen
analytically?
This module provides you with fun and exciting activities and discussions in
order for you to:
✔ Define analytical listening; and
✔ Employ analytical listening in problem solving.
As you go along with this module, please take note of the following guidelines:
● If you don’t have the internet to access the links, you may request one
member in your family to read the listening text provided in the
appendices.
● Listen analytically as he/she reads the text aloud.
● Answer the activities honestly and properly.
● Your teacher will monitor and check your work.
II. Pre-Test

Before you begin with your journey, answer this Pre-Test first. This will help
you find out if you already have an idea about the topics to be discussed in this
module. Don’t worry if you get a low score. You will surely do better in the Final Test.
