Evaluate whether the severity of allegation and probability of successful ad‐
ministrative action and/or prosecution warrant the cost and time of an
investigation
Recommend initiation or continuation of investigation or referral to other agen‐
cies and coordinate with other law enforcement agencies on investigation and
prosecution
Decide when case is complete and ready for submission for administrative ac‐
tion, civil litigation, prosecution and/or other action
