Understanding The Self

BTVTE-3B Module 2 Lesson 6

Motivational Activity: Think of a character or anyone that will represent your avatar. What would it be
and why?

If I were to this a character to represent my avatar, I wouldn't even think about it. O wanted to put my
own character to represent my self, so that I could identified as what I really am. I want to show whoni
am through if. And I want to encourage pele tonprove themselves. I want to be an example of truly
accepting the true character that a person has.

Processing:

a. How did you feel about activity?

It made me think of the reality and truthfulness.

b. Is it difficult to come up with an avatar? Why?

No, because it wouldn't be hard to come up if you're going to put yourself in it and also being honest to
think about it.

c. What have you learned?

I learned a lot of things like thinking the best character to represent your own avatar. It was like thinking
the best character you had.

I. Reflection Activity

1. What is the role of our digital possessions in our contemporary (modern) extended self?

It is the mighty images that lead us to over attribute positive to ourselves instead of others or the
situation of a particular purposeful core self in the control of our actions. Those things are a part of us,
therefore, because we have perceived our digital extended selves under control.

2. Do their role changes when we leave or turn off our digital device?

Yes, just like how it purposely in need into one per. It may brings positivity and under control.
II. Reflection Activity

1. Amidst the presence of digital world, can you still separate yourself from your own avatar?

Half of me saying yes and no. Sometimes, we have own identity on the digital wot unless you are
confident in your own identity. Different characters or identity in digital self versus actual person may
fectt us to separate ourselves. It may apply our identity in real world from cyberspace.

III. Reflection Activity

1. How far do we share our private information to the digital world or in the internet?

As a user of social sites, as much as possible we do not share private information on the internet,
because we don't know what will happen and what other people who use social will senthe information
that only you should know.

IV. Reflection Activity

1. How honest are you in sharing your extended self in digital world?

I am showing the real me and having the control of sharing some info's.

V. Reflection Activity

1. How ready are you to embrace digital technologies as means of storing retrieving your collective
memories?

Honestly, I’m not very excited about the innovation and availability of digital technologies to store and
retrieve the memories that take place in our lives. It may be a great help to spread the world but it will
not change the happy memories of the past, because we ourselves know that every event in our lives is
etched in our hearts and minds.
