Setting-up computer server

1. Rename server name to pscserver.


2. Install four (4) essential server roles.
3. Set Domain Name Services (DNS) to psc.com.
4. Set server username “Administrator’’ and password should be Pscadmin2021.
5. Convert DHCP IP address provided by router to Static IP address using TCP/IPv4.
6. Make client account for wired and wireless client computer.
for wired client: Set login username “wiredcomputer” password: “wired1234”
for wireless client: Set login username “wirelesscomputer” password: “wireless1234”
7. Create Group Policy Organization (GPO) named “css”.
8. Share the printer to the network.
9. Make a folder for Folder Redirection named “pscredirection”.
10. Configure the folder redirection as a map drive for the client computers.

Setting-up client computer(wired/wireless)

1. Convert DHCP IP address provided by router to Static IP address using TCP/IPv4.


2. Connect to the DNS network.
3. Login using username and password created by the server.
4. Create document using WordPad and type “Provincial Skills Competition” save and
rename it “competitor + your number” Example: competitor1 to the map drive.
5. Perform print test page using share printer by the server.
6. Shutdown computer server through remote desktop application by using wireless
computer.
