STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

Electromechanical Engineering Technology would give me the leading edge in technology and the
practical low-down and information I require. For the past few decades’ man is advancing into the
unknown realms of technology and science. This advancement is to make life easy and to increase
human comfort at home and at work and I would like to be an integral part of such betterment.
Technology, today means power in the widest sense of the term and not merely the power of mind.
And it is this power potential that has given it the status it now enjoys. While all this is generally true,
since India has been a latecomer in the field of science, she has to make up an enormous leeway. I
Dhyey Bhatt, want to pursue Electromechanical Engineering Technology - Automation from Seneca
College, Toronto Campus, Ontario, Canada.

I have completed my Grade 10 in March 2016 from Gujarat Board. After my Grade 10, I was clear that
I aspire to pursue a course that has a collective mixture of practical and detailed theory studies on
majors (Mechanical Engineering), therefore I started pursuing Diploma Engineering in Mechanical
Engineering in June 2016 and completed in May 2019 from L.J. Polytechnic which is affiliated to
Gujarat Technological University. During my diploma studies, I was exposed to different Mechanical
disciplines like Manufacturing Engineering and tooling, Designing, and computer-aided manufacturing
Automation. I believe that education should be quality education which I believe is only possible on an
international level this is my main Academic Objective and for that, I choose Canada as my study
destiny and I will be doing Electromechanical Engineering Technology – Automattion Program from
Seneca College; as I see better Job Opportunities with Stable and successful future ahead. After
completing of my diploma I started my internship at Shree Lakshmi Precision Engineers, Ahmedabad
and presently I am appointed as a Junior Engineer.

Before I took decision to apply for a Canadian institute, I did a lot of research as to which country fulfil
my needs and aspirations best. I surfed many websites, met many consultants and had talk with my
friends and relatives, and eventually decided to make Canada my study destination. Canada is a
booming economy and a country which has many technological as well as geographical factors that can
shape one person’s career in a way one can only dream about. I believe that practical knowledge can
give impart best understanding to students. The need for exposure to a more dynamic and practical
environment has prompted me to seek an opportunity to study in the Canada. Therefore, I decided to
add along a global approach to my horizon to accelerate my career is why I decided to study further
in Canada.

I chose Seneca College as no other college had a program designed remarkably well at a surprisingly
affordable cost. the programs in Seneca teach you Robotic programming, Automation Technology,
Pneumatic/Hydraulic technology, and PLC programming. The college has an unmatched faculty with
the advanced facility to tutor, Industry-specific workshops. The college also has a transferability
opportunity to the top college & universities of the world such as Cape Breton University, Humber
College, Nipissing University, and co-op opportunity after completion of 3rd & 4th semester. All this
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
makes studying Advance Diploma in Electromechanical Engineering Technology – Automation at
Seneca College an ideal option for me to fill the gaps in my knowledge and help me achieve my
future aspirations.

The Electromechanical program is outstanding, unique and Extraordinary. This program includes a
heavy focus on development projects and training. This program further will offer me the depth of
Knowledge in automation design and development which will be useful for advanced positions in
industries that rely on mechanization. It covers both Electrical and Mechanical Diagnostic
tools/drawings & Automation/ Robotics profoundly & all the vital subjects to become a complete
Engineer. Courses in the program include – Electronic Lab Instrumentation and Techniques;
Mechanical Designs and Drawing; AC Circuits for Electrical Systems; Machining Theory – Automation;
Mechatronics: Pneumatics and Hydraulic; Mechanics and Machine Elements; Robotics Basics; CNC
Technology; Cloud and Manufacturing Data Analytics; Robotic Applications etc. It will advance my
Industry-specific skills, teach me to understand Machine elements, ground me In Mathematics and
Programming fundamentals.

Upon successful completion of the program, I intend to return to India with outstanding skills In
Electromechanical Engineering Technology such as Mechanical Diagnosis, Advance Robotics &
Automation, CNC Technology, PLC controlling which will complete me as an Engineer to get to the top
of the pile. I intend to work with mainstream Manufacturing companies, the Mechatronic Industries.
Many opportunities are created by mainstream Elecro-mechanical companies like - AIR WORKS India
Engineering private Limited, Reliance, Tata Motors Limited, Truetzschler private limited, Tesla,
Bharat Benz which also hold world-class Automobile Plants, and Industrial factories.

Additionally, India produces the highest number of machinery In the world with its ever-expanding
Production companies like - Aditya Birla group, ABB India, Adani Transmission Limited. I can work in
India on Different Professional Job Profiles like: Automation technologist; Electromechanical
engineering technologist; Robotics programmer; PLC programmer; Process control technologist;
Control systems technologist; Technical sales consultant; Pneumatic/Hydraulic technologist, etc. I
desire to come to India & pay homage through my international learning & previous education. As I am
a single child of my parents and my father has a recycling plant and I want to contribute to his business
by learning technical advancement and help him to increase his firm turnover and escalation in
production. Hence I can fulfil my Dream of Becoming a Professional.

With all the thoughts that I tried to sum up in this little space, I am indeed very eager to join the
program. And I’ve attached all the required documents which are asked as per checklist and request
Canadian High Commission to take my study permit application in positive light.
