Note(1) The account of the additional leave admissible to Govermment


servants in superior service under the provision to rule9 should be worked
out as and when necessary and maintained in subsidiary account.
(2) Periods of Extraordinary Leave taken should be noted in red ink in Col. 27
for remarks.
(3) The entries Cols. 10 &11 should indicate only the beginning and end of
completed years of service at the time the half-pay leave commences in cases
where a Government Servant completès another year of service while on half
pay leave the extra credit should be shown in Cols. 10 to 14 by making
suitable entries and this should be taken into account when completing in
Col. 26.
(4) Wherever transition from one fraction to another takes place the credit at
that stage should be rounded off to the nearest days i.e., fractions below half
should be ignored and those of half or more should be reckoned as a day.

INSRUCTIONS TO LEAVE ACCOUNT. 1933

1. Columns 1 to 5 should be filled in at the time a Government servant


applies for and proceeds on leave and columns 6 to 8 on return from
leave.
2. The periods of duty in terms of days column 3 and of leave taken column
7 should be worked out with reference to the actual number of days each
month and not on the basis of 30 days amount.
3. Column 4 leave earned. The fraction of column (3) to be credited in this
column is as below
4. (a) One eleventh in the case of permanent Government servants in
superior service (rule 8 (iii))
5. (b) One twenty second in the case of permanent servants in last grade
service and non- permanent Government servants in superior service (rule
17-1) and 20.
6. In the case of Vacation Departments and X-Ray and Radium Departments
of Government Medical institutions the credit should be reduced as
indicated in Rule 9 and 17 (i)
7. Column 5 Leave at credit. The entry in this column on date (columns
4+8 ) should be limited to:
8. i) One hundred and eighty days in the case of Govemment servants
coming under clause (a) above.
9. ii) One hundred and eighty days in the case of permanent Govermment
servants last grade service and thirty days in the case of non-permanent
servants both in superior and last grade service coming under clause (b).
10.In the case of Government servants in service from a date period to 4th
september 1933, who elect the Andhra Pradesh Leave Rules, 1933, the
first entry of leave on average pay carried over Rule 30 on the date of
election of those Rule should be made in column 5 with the words written
across column 1 to 4, "(Due on date of coming under the new rules)".
11.Periods of extraordinary leave should be noted in red ink in col. 24 for
remarks.
12.The entries in cols. 10 and 11 should indicate only the beginning and end
of completed years of service at the time the half pay leave commences. In
case where a Government servant complete another year of service on half
pay leave the extra credit should be shown in cols. 10 to 14 by making
suitable entries and this should be taken entry account when completing
Cols.23.
13.In making entries in column 4 fractions of half and over should be
rounded as one day and fractions less than half omitted.
