3.0 Introduction

It is proposed to utilize 4.5 TMC of water direct from the river Godavari through an
approach channel to the proposed intake structure on Right Bank near Kannepalli village
providing drinking water and to create irrigation facilities to an extent of 45000 acres in
upland and drought prone areas of Mahadevpur, Kataram, Mahamutharm and Malhar
Mandals in Manthani constituency Karimnagar District.

No Inter state and international aspects are involved.
