Transformational Leadership - is a leadership theory in which a leader works with teams or followers
beyond their immediate self-interests to identify needed change, create a vision to guide the change
through influence and inspiration, and execute the change in collaboration with committed members of
a group. It fosters a healthy work environment for employees and staff, resulting in higher staff
satisfaction, retention, and patient satisfaction. It is significant because it aims to ensure that everyone
on the team understands the value of their work and feels valued.

Trait Theory - this theory is beneficial to the nurse leader himself/herself in order for him/her to know
what are the traits that can be his/her strength and weakness when it comes to leadership.

Path Goal Theory - This theory is useful for nursing leadership because it teaches the nurse leader how
to motivate his or her team members to achieve their goals. Using this theory, the nurse leader can
chart a course for all of them to follow in order to achieve their goals.
