1. Tell me about yourself.

I grew up in Sobral, a small town in the countryside of Ceará. I got my bachelor degree in
mechatronic technology by IFCE, a college in Sobral. Currently, I work as a maintenance officer
at Thyssenkrupp Elevators.

Due to maintaining (MÉNTENI) elevators, industrial and commercial buildings and also
apartments for 4 years.

In general the work was similar, the bigger difference was the quantity and size of the
machines. For example the motor used to a garage gate is very much like the one used in
elevators.

I’ve developed the ability to create maintenance (MÉINTNENCE) plans, make equipment’s lists
and analyze and correct electromechanical issues. My biggest strength is my ability to work
independently and safely.

Well, I’m a professional with for years experience (ExPIURIENCE) in maintenance

2. How would you describe yourself?

I would say, that as a maintenance (MÉINTNENCE) officer, I am proactive (PROUÉCTIVE) and

committed (CÔMÍTED) to providing accurate (ÁTI URET) and safe maintenance
(MÉINTNENCE). For example in my current job, I improved the workings on that elevators I am
responsible for, reducing approximately 30% of calls to act in problem corrections.

Sometimes I make suggestions to management about improvements and changes to

maintenance (MÉINTNENCE) plans, seeing as my motivation comes from making significant
contributions (CANTRI BIUXIONS) wherever I am.

3. What makes you unique?

Eu acredito que minha capacidade de permanecer calmo em momentos difíceis, como

durante o resgate de passageiros presos em um elevador, ou quando estou diante de um
problema de difícil análise e resolução
I believe it’s being able(Êibol) to remain calm during(diurin) a crisis(craisis), while
rescuing(résquin) people stuck in elevators, for example. Or even when faced with difficult
problems that are hard to analyze and solve(Soúve).

8. Quais seus pontos fortes?

Como mencionei antes, sou ótimo em criar relacionamentos amigáveis, além de der
persuasivo quando se trata da resolução de problemas. Por exemplo em uma determinada
situação o único elevador de um prédio estava parado, causando grande transtorno entre os
moradores. Neste momento além de tentar sanar o problema mecânico precisava acalmar as
pessoas idosas que não conseguiam subir as escadas para ir para seu apartamento. Então
tratei esse problema com conversa tranquila e divertida entre os moradores em seguida fiz os
ajustes necessários para o elevador voltar a funcionar.

As I said(Séd) before, I’m a very friendly person and can be very creative(CRIÊiTV) and
persistent (persuasive(Pêrchuêsiv)) when it comes to solving problems (?????? Tipo, eu
traduzi o que foi escrito, mas persuasão é habilidade pra convencer gente, não resolver
problemas. A menos que seja problema de diplomacia). For example, once(UONCE) I was
charged with fixing the single elevator of a building, which was stuck and causing
several(SéVRAU) problems to the residents(Résidents). I had to solve the mechanical
issues(ichus) and also calm down the elderly people who could not take the stairs to get in and
out of their apartments. So, I dealt(DÉAUT) with the situation at hand by talking with the
residents and putting them at ease(iz), and then I made the necessary adjustments to get the
elevator working again.

8. Quais seus pontos fracos(bigget weakness)?

Atualmente não tenho fluência perfeita no inglês e nem no francês, mas sei que com
determinação posso resolver essa dificuldade.

Right now, I’m not perfectly fluent in English or French, but I know that with practice and
determination I can solve this problem/overcome this issue.

10. Porque você quer mudar de país?

Bom meu maior sonho é poder construir uma família e proporcionar uma vida digna. Embora
no Brasil eu sei que possa ganhar dinheiro e construir posses que possibilite uma boa vida a
minha família, não há segurança. Meu maior medo é perder meu futuro filho ou a minha
esposa para violência.

My greatest(Gréitest) dream has(rés) always been having a family and being able(EIBOL) to
give my children a good life. Even though(DOUG) I know I can make money in Brazil, there’s no
security(Sequiurit) in my country. My biggest fear is to one day lose a child or my wife to
violence.
9. Onde você se vê daqui 5 anos?

Bom gostaria de fazer uma carreira na área de manutenção e daqui dois anos desejo ter o meu
primeiro filho aqui no canada, e se tudo se encaminhar corretamente, daqui cinco anos
gostaria me estabilizar e comprar uma casa para chamar de lar.

Well, I’d like to make a career out of maintenance work, in two years I can see myself having a
child here in Canada, if it all goes to plan, five years from now I’d like to be fully
settled(SEROUD) in this country, and buy a house to build my home in.

4. Como ficou sabendo desta vaga?

Vi o anuncio no Linkedin ou jobbank que me chamou atenção pois meus conhecimentos e

experiencias se encaixam bem na necessidade da empresa.

I saw the job opening on linkedin or jobbank, and it caught my attention since I seemed to fit
the requirements for the job.

Atualmente busco uma oportunidade de emprego que me garanta morar em uma pequena
cidade no canada. Esse sempre foi meu sonho e acredito que hoje estou pronto para esta
mudança com minha família.

At this point in time/right now, I’m looking for a job that will make it possible for me to live in a
small town on Canada. That has always been my dream, and I believe that me and my family
are ready to make the changes that would require.
