DYNAMIC VERB AND STATIVE VERB

Setiap kalimat bahasa Inggris pasti memiliki kata kerja. Kata kerja dapat
diklasifikasikan menjadi kata kerja dinamis (dynamic verb/action verb), kata
kerja statif (Stative verb), atau keduanya. Dynamic verb /action verb
menjelaskan tindakan; Stative verb menggambarkan suatu kondisi.
Klasifikasi ini penting karena menentukan bagaimana kata kerja dapat dan
tidak dapat digunakan. Mengetahui perbedaan antara Stative verb dan
Stative verb akan membantu Anda berbicara dan menulis dengan benar
dan menghindari kesalahan dasar dalam ujian atau email, serta dalam
banyak situasi sosial, akademik, dan bisnis.

Verbs: Dynamic, Stative, or Both?

Dynamic Verbs
Dynamic verb menggambarkan tindakan. Contohnya run/lari,
jump/lompat, work/bekerja, play /bermain, eat/makan, atau
drink/minum. Dynamic verb adalah jenis kata kerja yang paling umum dan
dapat digunakan dengan benar di semua bentuk tenses atau aspects.
Dynamic verb biasanya paling mudah dipelajari .

Stative Verbs
Stative Verb menggambarkan keadaan atau kondisi. Contohnya
know/tahu, believe/percaya, atau understand/mengerti. Kata kerja ini
dapat digunakan dalam bentuk dan aspek simple dan perfect. Namun,
Stative Verb tidak dapat digunakan dalam bentuk continuous atau
progresif. Batasan ini membuat Stative Verb sedikit lebih sulit untuk
dikuasai, yang berarti latihan diperlukan

Meskipun Stative Verb mungkin tampak rumit, Anda sekarang telah


mengambil langkah pertama untuk menguasainya: Anda tahu bahwa
