1. Select on industry/business that is either benefiting on suffering from the lockdown cause by
the pandemic. Explain why and how they flourish/languish in the midst of uncertain market
condition.
 The spread of the corona virus and sweeping policy measures taken by various
governments have led many industries into unchartered territories. We’ve got seen
tourism, airlines, electronics and lots of other industries hit by the COVID-19 crisis, but
there’s been an unprecedented growth spike within the online food and deliver industry.
As consumers globally are either mandated to remain home or have chosen to try to do
so, they need resorted to ordering food and groceries online. As more countries
implement mandatory social distancing and restrict the non-essential movements of
public and business services, consumers have turned to online food and grocery delivery
services to extra service on food and home items.
Foodpanda, the primary food ordering and delivery service provider in Thailand and also
known here in our country Philippines, are distributing over 40,000 bottles of 30 ml hand
sanitizers across 55 provinces in Thailand with any order. The program will continue
until 12th of May or until the stock lasts, with no minimum order for purchasers to
qualify. With this initiative Foodpanda are going to be leveraging their logistics ability to
achieve an outsized number of individuals directly. Since the very beginning of the
COVID-19 pandemic the delivery service platform has demonstrated its commitment to
the best standards of responsibility. As the country continues to adapt to new behaviors,
delivery companies must still make sure the safety and well-being of their delivery riders,
who many of us now consider as modern-day heroes. Among the various companies that
secure the lives of their delivery riders is Foodpanda, because It makes sure that each
rider has everything, he or she has to do their job as best as they will.
More users are practicing social distancing and doing their best to prevent the spread of
COVID-19. As an internet food and delivery business, it’s also your responsibility to
assist them practice this with ease as your services became an important asset for the
society during these challenging times. While you’re servicing your customers, it’s
important asset to make sure the protection of your employees who work harder during
these times. Offer your users orders that fulfill the security and hygiene regulations, get to
grasp them and still serve them. They’ll remember how you made it easier for them when
everything gets back to normal. During these times attempt to build deeper relationships
together with your customers and act on the thought of going digital. Nobody knows how
long this pandemic goes to last. With changing policies and operational restrictions, you
wish to constantly adapt to changes that come your way and ensure business continuity.
