For Kant, what is the role of reason in living morally?

- For Kant, the role of reason in living morally is reason. People uses reason to
act based on the moral law. People are doing good things because of reason.

Explain: “What is legal is not always moral.”

- For me “legal is not always moral” is legal does not make it moral. The law is
reserved for serious matters. It means that law means the standards of
acceptable behavior in society.

Differentiate rights from virtue theories.

- Rights is the legal or principles of freedom of every individual. It is also the

notion that in order for a society to be efficacious, the government must
respect the goals of the society that it governs. The virtue is based on the
people’s character and not action. It is also a moral philosophy that teaches
that an action is right and represents the mind and the character of an
individual.
