WRITING SKILLS : A piece of written work of about 500 words must be produced on any one of the
following topics :

1)Choose a Television serial and write an account of it based on the following:

Name of the serial --- cast of actors------ relate the story briefly and comment on it-------- discuss the
performances of the actors critically------ comment on other features viz ,direction, music and camera
work.

2)A description of a process eg- instruction to operate a device, a recipe or conduct a scientific
experiment.

Speaking Skill

Choose any one of the topic:

Narrating an experience

Expressing an opinion

The things to be kept in mind when writing:

The piece of writing should have headings, sub- headings, paragraphing within a word limit of 500
words and a separate title page.

No plagiarism.

Must use suitable terminology, vocabulary and illustrations for the specific task chosen.

Must read as a unified whole.

The written work must communicate the message effectively.

LITERATURE

Students have to undertake one written assignment of1000 –1500 words, on any of the following topics:

1) Gessler brothers were destroyed but until the end they remained undefeated. Analyse their character
as brought out in the story' Quality'.

2) Summarise the poem ‘The Gift Of India'

The assignment should be structured as given below:

Title page: Question

Page 1----Introduction: Explanation of the question that has been given.

Brief description about John Galsworthy / Sarojini Naidu , his way of portraying characters/ the
poetess’ s way of portraying the poems

Background of the character/ poem

Page 2 ---- Reason for choosing the text-Theme of the story / poem

Brief explanation of how you intend to interpret the chosen text/ Interpretation of the character

Page 3---- Plot, setting, characters , action, style and ideas.

Page 4 -----Conclusion—summary of the points made earlier.

The project must be submitted on 1st July 2021

Format your project with : headings ,sub – headings, and paragraphing.
