PANACHE

In this day and age, where everyone is giving into lethargy, there is a dire need for
increase in productivity and creativity amongst the youth due to the fact that their
childhood and school days are being stolen by the current pandemic situation.
Hence it is of paramount importance that our generation explore extracurricular
activities. We know that all of us have been especially bogged down with back-to-
back online classes and never-ending assignments with no time or space to
showcase our talents in this lockdown period.

To battle decreased innovation and to instill ambition and teamwork, EuroSchool

ISC proudly introduces our very own Interschool Events.

We introduce you to competitions with a difference using the online platform with
an intention to keep you engaged during these trying times.

We are delighted to invite you to participate in the series of competitions listed

below and urge you to take a look and register in as many competitions that
intrigue you:

6. Arte
7. Quizpicable Me

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”
-Maya Angelou

Competition” challenges you to compose a story in simply 100 words. Participants
will engage in a live online writing competition via the Zoom app, where they will
be given an hour to complete their compositions. A list of unique varied prompts
will be provided for the participants to choose from and the best entries of the
round will be chosen to participate in the final round.

Prompts will be provided and accordingly your drabble must be one of the
following genres:

up and takes you on board. To your surprise, they take you to a room full of
earth’s space junk and demand to know what each bit of trash is.
3. On everyone’s 18th birthday, they receive a letter from their future selves.
Some receive long messages about their future lovers or messages about
changes they would have made. Yours contain nothing but a small list of
locations and the words, “NEVER VISIT.”
4. A private investigator is hired to find a boy that has been missing for 30
years.
5. One night you awaken to find yourself in a mysterious forest. After
wandering for what seems eternity, you reach the heart of an ancient oak.
Upon its bark are carvings of the name of an old, forgotten god. The name
that’s inscribed is yours.
6. The narrator was running late and just showed up late to a story already in
progress. He doesn’t know who the heroes and villains are or even what
genre this is.

NOTION DISCOURSE
“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.”
-Rumi

Debates nowadays have become mechanical with no

flow. No instantaneous thought. It is all predestined as
per the prepared speeches, but if there is uncertainty
about which side a participant will be, the debate will
then become much more interesting and where nothing is
predetermined, and actual rationale will be used.

Proposition:
1. Each team will consist of three representatives.
2. Schools must select three participants for the discourse.
3. The selected participants of each school will not be disclosed nor will they
be allowed to discuss amongst each other. This is done so that every child
has an equal opportunity in terms of voicing their opinion rather than one
participant representing the whole team.
4. On the day of the debate, all the participants will join the Zoom meeting and
the school teams will be put in their respective breakout rooms where they
will be told which side they are on by the moderator. They will then have
fifteen minutes to discuss their points amongst each other.
5. To avoid lack of knowledge, the participants must be thorough with the topic
and thus should have both the points of For and Against ready for their
speeches.
6. For a round lost, negative marking will be there.

The topics for the debate will be provided after registration.
