How To make a Topic Outline?

1. Determine the subheadings. Use single words or phrases and arranged them as
you would like your paper to flow from one topic to another.
2. Immediately beneath these headings, indent your line. Then you can begin
entering subheadings falling under the major topics. Use only words and phrases
the general idea of the section. Indention for making a list of topics beneath a
subheading, each level more specific than the last.
3. Once you have completed all your subheadings with the topics that will be
covered your paper, you can begin gathering the information necessary that will
fall under those headings.
4. Remember to keep things concise and cover only the topics you need to attain
your paper’s goal.
1.2 Sentence Outline
 Also known as expanded outline.
 It is best used after a narrowed-down brainstorming session, whereas once the
topics have been selected, the research can begin from the jump-off point of one
or two sentences that set the tone or pace for the subheading.
