In line with the mandate of the Department of providing effective standard specifications to
be used in the implementation of various infrastructure projects and in view of the need of
setting standard specifications for construction materials, it is hereby directed that
henceforth the DPWH Standard Specifications for Public Works Structures (Buildings, Ports
and Harbors, Flood Control and Drainage Structures and Water Supply Systems), Volume
III, 2019 Edition shall be adopted in the implementation of all DPWH infrastructure projects
of said categories, except for projects which have already been advertised for bids and for
which specifications other than the above standards have been adopted.

This Order shall take effect immediately .
