Mikayla: Good morning! I’m Mikayla Cabalo reporting live from SJC Weather Channel.

Here's a quick look at today's weather and what's ahead for Labor Day weekend.

Mikayla: The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services


Admnistration (PAGASA) says to expect nice weather this Labor Day weekend, with
moderately warm temperatures and sunny skies, and some scattered showers.

In Metro Manila including Calabarzon and Central Luzon will have plenty of sunshine
with readings between 20°C to 35°C. These areas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy
skies and light to moderate winds (9-21 km/hr) coming from the northeast to
southeast will prevail with light to moderate sea conditions. There is a 5% chance of
precipitation for today.

Northern Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers due
to localized thunderstorms. Temperatures will linger from 14°C to 37°C with light to
moderate winds of 12-27 km/hr coming from the east to northeast will prevail with
light to moderate sea conditions. Current forecast shows a 20% chance of precipitation.

The entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will
have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers and thunderstorms due to
easterlies and localized thunderstorms. Things are only going to get hotter as the day
progresses with temperatures expected to fluctuate from 25°C to 32°C. Light to moderate
winds of 20-28 km/hr from the east to northeast will prevail with light to moderate sea
conditions with 40% chance of rain.

In Mindanao, things are about to get very heated and humid and rainy in the later part of
the day due to the Easterlies. They will experience partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated
showers. Light to moderate winds of 22-30 km/hr blowing from east to northeast with
slight to moderate sea conditions. Temperatures are expected between 23°C to 32.5°C.
Mindanao will get some scattered showers with a 60% chance of rain throughout the day.
