1 skein (#dropsandes) , dpns or circular needle US 9 (5.5 mm) 16in

(40cm) long, stitch marker, stuffing, tapestry needle.

Cast on 40 sts, leaving a tail.

Join to work in rnds, making sure not to twist sts. Place BOR marker if
needed.

Work in rib 4 x 1 (k4, p1) for 26 rnds or until piece measures approx 5in
(12-13cm).

Cut yarn, leaving a tail. Strand a tail through sts, pull to close and
secure.

Stuff the piece.

Pull cast-on tail to close a hole and secure.

Cut 1 strand of yarn approx 1yd (1m) long. Strand it around through
the 8 columns of purl sts. Pull tight. This creates a real pumpkin shape.

Decorate your pumpkin with a cinnamon stick.

Pumpkin is approx 2-2.5in (5-6cm) high and approx 5.5-6in (11-12cm)

in diameter.
