TBC (TUBERCULOSIS)

“Assalamuaikum, hello guys my name is zain and this is my


friend, my name is desi. In here we will explain about
tuberculosis, so please be listened”

Desi said:

“Tuberculosis is a lung disease caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium


tuberculosis. TB will cause symptoms in the form of a cough that lasts longer
(more than 3 weeks), usually phlegm, and sometimes bleeding. TB germs not only
attack the lungs, but can also attack bones, intestines, or glands. This disease is
transmitted from saliva TB sufferers, when talking, coughing, or sneezing. This
disease is more susceptible to someone with low immunity, such as HIV sufferers.

1. Symptoms of Tuberculosis
In addition to causing symptoms in the form of a cough that
lasts a long time, people with TB will also feel some other
symptoms, such as:
a. fever
b. Limp
c. Weight loss
d. No appetite
e. Chest pain
f. Night sweats

2. TB treatment
TB can be detected through sputum examination. Some other
tests that can be done to detect this infectious disease are chest
X-ray, blood test, or skin test (Mantoux). Tuberculosis can be
cured if the patient is obedient taking medication according to
the doctor's prescription. To overcome this disease, patients
need to take several types of drugs for a long time (at least 6
months). This medicine is generally in the form of :
a. Isoniazid
b. Rifampicin
c. Pyrazinamide
d. Ethambutol
3. Prevention of Tuberculosis
TB can be prevented by administering a vaccine, which is
recommended to be done before the baby is 2 months old. In
addition, prevention can also be done by :
a. Wear a mask when in a crowded place.
b. Close your mouth when sneezing, coughing, and laughing.
c. Don't expel phlegm or spit carelessly.
