Class Rules and Regulations (Moodle LMS) : First Semester, AY 2021-2022
Preliminary Rules
Students are expected to join all synchronous classes set by the subject
professor at all times.
To validly affirm the attendance, the student must turn the camera on during
the roll call.
In case a student cannot attend the class due to a valid reason, the student
must inform the subject professor ahead of time. Failure to provide an excuse
letter (or proper justification) will be considered absent.
When problem with internet connectivity arise, student must send a message
to the teacher/class representative not later than 15 minutes after the class
commences or else, he/she will be considered late/absent.
Students are expected to be present during the synchronous class from the
beginning. They are only allowed to leave the online class when duly
dismissed by the subject professor. Failure to do so will be considered
late/absent.
As provided by the university policy, accumulation of three (3) consecutive
absences during synchronous sessions; eight (8) non-consecutive absences;
or non-submission of outputs and write-ups constituting more than 20% of
the over-all mark shall automatically drop the student from the rolls.
Submission Policy
All course write-ups and outputs must be submitted via Moodle LMS. Turn-
ins via FB messenger, Gmail, Yahoo Mail and other platforms are
unauthorized unless there is an explicit clearance from the subject professor.
Permission to submit late will not be granted where a student simply seeks
more time to finalize their work.
Students may apply for permission to submit late in circumstances where
reasonable plans to study and to complete the assessment have been
affected such that they will not have an equitable amount of time to
complete this before the deadline.
Where a request to submit late is not granted or work is submitted late
without a request being made, marks will be deducted as follows:
o Up to 24 hours late, loss of 5% of the mark awarded;
o Over 24 hours late and up to 3 days late, loss of 10% of the mark
awarded;
After 3 days, the work will not be accepted for marking and the student will
be recorded as having failed that item of assessment.
This policy also applies for projects and other class activities.
Quiz turn-ins shall follow a strict schedule as prescribed by the subject
professor.
Make – up Policy
Make-up work will be administered for students who miss the regularly
scheduled exam and other activities due to a valid excused absence such as
illness, serious family emergencies, religious holidays, court-imposed legal
obligations, etc.
Students must send an email to the instructor stating the request and reason
for the make-up class/work.
