1.4.1 A circular shaft of diameter 30 mm is rotating in a journal bearing of length 20cm . Speed
of shaft is 360 rpm. The clearance between shaft and bearing is 0.6mm and dynamic viscosity is
0.2 N-s/m2.Determine torque and power required to rotate the shaft at given speed

1.4.2 A vertical cylinder of diameter 180 mm rotates concentrically inside another cylinder of
diameter 181.2 mm. Both the cylinder is 300 mm high. The space between the cylinders is filled
with a liquid whose viscosity is unknown. Determine the viscosity of the liquid if a torque of 20
N-m is required to rotate the inner cylinder at 120 rpm
1.4.3 A 15 cm diameter vertical cylinder rotates concentrically inside another cylinder of 15.10
