What are the pros and cons of making friends virtually?

Since the internet came to our lives, we the people begin to socialise from the
net. Several websites were developed in order to make people meet with each other
by chatting. For instance, Facebook is the most famous website where people get to
know each other. However, is that risky for those people who get to know each other
virtually? In my opinion there are two pros and one con. The pro is that a virtual
environment makes things easier to happen. Cons are, you cannot be sure that your
partner is talking the truth and the view of your partner is not the same in real life as
it seems in virtual.

First of all, a virtual environment makes things easier to happen. Since we can
text each other and make video calls, we don’t really need to meet in real life as we
have done before. We don’t need to make tiring programs in order to hook up with
people. There is only one thing that you must do to meet and talk for the first time:
Just go to the web then find an online meeting website. That’s it. Think that all your
friends have gone abroad and you got lonely. By using online meeting websites you
can easily make new friends and hang out with them.

On the other hand, there are some cons about meeting virtually. First con is
you cannot be sure that your partner is talking the truth. Since you’re just texting
each other without seeing each other, both sides can lie easily. Just because neither
side can prove that someone is lying. Lies can be proved when sides meet each
other in real life which is really dangerous because of malignant people. For
instance, think that you meet with an organ mafia who wants your kidneys. Since you
really don’t know him as much enough, you are in danger in real life.

And the second con is the view of your partner is not the same in real life as it
seems in virtual. Some websites allow their customers to meet each other by making
video calls. Customers with a webcam are matched randomly with someone else
and they start to talk and get to know each other. The thing is the person who you
made the video conference with may have another look in real life. So you can be
disappointed when you see him in real life.

To conclude, there are two pros and one con. The pro is that a virtual
environment makes things easier to happen. Cons are, you cannot be sure that your
partner is talking the truth and the view of your partner is not the same in real life as
it seems in virtual. Just because of the pros and cons, people should be careful
against malignant people who use virtual meeting websites.
