The song "Paubaya" by Moira Dela Torre is about unrequited love, or the feeling
of having deep romantic feelings for someone only to discover that they do not feel the
same way about us. It's a one-sided encounter that can leave us in agony, sorrow, and
guilt. It all comes down to letting go. It's a heartbreaking story about loving someone
and having to let go because you're no longer the source of their joy. Love that is not
returned or rewarded. You have no choice but to let this person go.

It's one of those heartbreaking songs that keeps many love struck and broken-
hearted people up late at night, most likely weeping and ruminating about their difficult
marriages, perplexing (and sometimes failed) conquests, or fantasizing about their
soon-to-be love woes. At the very least, it is made of lyrics that will make you fight back
tears. Every line Dela Torre sings feels like a series of tiny pins piercing your heart.
Even with the pain that each song lyric brings, you won't be able to stop yourself from
continuing to listen because it's just that beautiful. It is an Original Pilipino Music (OPM)
Tagalog love song. Mellow was used to play the song, emphasizing the seriousness of
the pain and feelings expressed in the lyrics. It was sung slowly, allowing the song's
emotions to linger.

It is the only Filipino song to reach the Top 10 of Apple Music's new Top 100
songs in the Philippines. It's one of the most touching, genuine, and sincere music
videos I've seen in a long time. I just realized how the song's ending is attempting to
teach us to believe in God. If the pain is severe enough. If you think it's too many. If
something doesn't feel right. Give up and place your trust in God. The true meaning of
"Paubaya" in this song has little to do with a specific individual. Not because of a third
party, but because of a God who has conquered everything. A God who knows what will
happen in the future and has the power to control it. “Surrender” to God and let Him
determine your fate.”
