of stitches for each round
 bo bobble stitch (5 partially completed dc are worked into one
stitch. Finish your bobble stitch by drawing your yarn through all
remaining loops on your crochet hook alltogether.)

Using the stated cotton yarns and a CHS 2.5 mms, *Frieda* the lamb will be
about 19 cms in length and about 13 cms in height.

This is how you achieve the bobble stitch (bo):

For the bobble stitch, everything is worked into one and the same stitch. In this
pattern, our bobble stitch will consist of 5 „partially completed“ double
crochets! Wait until you have made 5 „partially completed“ double crochets into
the same stitch, before you draw your yarn through the remaining loops
alltogether.

Work 5 unfinished double crochets into the same stitch as follows:

Step 1: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (you
now have 3 loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first two loops.
(2 remaining loops on the crochet hook)

You have finished your 1st unfinished double crochet!

Step 2: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (4
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops. (3 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)

Step 3: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (5
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops. (4 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)

Step 4: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (6
loops on your crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops (5 remaining
loops on the crochet hook)

Step 5: Yarn over and insert your crochet hook into the stitch, grab the yarn (7
loops on the crochet hook) and draw it through the first 2 loops

(6 remaining loops on the crochet hook)

Step 6: Grab your yarn one last time and draw it through all 6 loops on your
crochet hook to finish the stitch. (see picture 1)

In conclusion, you are repeating one step 5 times.

You have achieved your first bobble stitch! The first bobble is done. (See picture
2)

Picture 1 Picture 2.

Helpful advice:
 Make sure to crochet rather tight to avoid any big holes. This will reduce
your fiberfill peeking through!

 I also suggest to continuously push your boobles outside a little bit so that
the bobble pattern is clearly visible.

The following lamb is made, using the colors for lamb no. 1

Body:
Work in rounds! (Color: White)

1. 5 sc, 1 bo in a magic ring (6) 1st round of bobbles! (see

picture 3+4)
2. (inc) x6 (12)

3. (1 sc, 1 bo) x6 = 6 sc + 6bo (12) 2nd round of bobbles!

(see picture 5)

4. (inc) x12 (24)

5. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 3rd round of bobbles!

6. (1 sc, inc) x12 (36)

7. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 4th round of bobbles!

(see picture 6)

8. (2 sc, inc) x12 (48)

9. (1 sc, 1 bo) x 24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 5th round of bobbles!

10. 48 sc (48)

11. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 6th round of bobbles!

12. 48 sc (48)

13. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 7th round of bobbles!

14. 48 sc (48)

15. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 8th round of bobbles!

16. 48 sc (48)

17. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 9th round of bobbles!

18. 48 sc (48) (see picture 7)

Now it's the right time to put the music box inside the semi- finished body. With
the help of a needle you can pull the string through between the 3rd and the 4th
round of bobbles, and then attaches the end of the string to a disk (as you can
see in picture 10) or wooden ball, for example. Now you can stuff the body with
fiberfill around the music box. The part below the music box, where the string
leaves the box, remains unstuffed, so that the melody sounds without any
problems. (see pictures 8-12)
19. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 10th round of bobbles!

20. 48 sc (48)

21. (1 sc, 1 bo) x24 = 24 sc + 24 bo (48) 11th round of bobbles!

22. (2 sc, dec) x12 (36)

23. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 12th round of bobbles!

24. (1 sc, dec) x12 (24)

25. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12 = 12 sc + 12 bo (24) 13th round of bobbles!

Do not forget to stuff the body with fiberfill.

26. (dec) x12 (12)

27. (1 sc, 1 bo) x6 = 6 sc + 6 bo (12) 14th round of bobbles!

Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill.

28. (dec) x5, 1 bo (7) 15th round of bobbles!

Finish this round with 1 sl st into the 3rd stitch from your crochet hook. Sew up
small holes if necessary. Cut the yarn long enough so it can be used later to sew
on the head. (See picture 13-15)

18. 39 sc (39)

19. (11 sc, Abn) x3 (36)

20-21. 36 sc (2 rounds) (36)

Finish with 1 sl st and change to color White! Make a turning chain and turn
your crochet piece 180° and continue to work in the other direction. So you can
see the bobble stitches, which start now, more clearly.

Skip the first st at the bottom of the turning chain. (see pictures 16- 19)
22. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 1st round of bobbles!
(see picture 20 +21)

Crochet the last bobble stitch of round 22 in the same stitch, where you made
the sl st in round 21, so that you get 36 stitches again. Now you can use a stitch
maker or a piece of yarn to mark the beginning of each round.

23. 36 sc

24. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 2nd round of bobbles!

25. 36 sc

26. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 3th round of bobbles!

27. 36 sc (36)

28. (1 sc, 1 bo) x18 = 18 sc + 18 bo (36) 4th round of bobbles!

Do not forget to stuff the body with fiberfill.

29. (1 sc, dec) x12 (24)

30. (1 sc, 1 bo) x12= 12 sc+ 12 bo (24) 5th round of bobbles!

Keep stuffing the head with fiberfill. (see pictures 22-24)

31. (dec) x12 (12)

32. (1 sc, 1 bo) x6 = 6 sc + 6 bo (12) 6th round of bobbles!

Stuff the body firmly with fiberfill.

33. (dec) x5, 1 bo = 5 sc + 1 bo (7) 7th round of bobbles!

Finish this round with 1 sl st into the 3rd stitch from your crochet hook. Sew up
small holes if necessary. Cut the yarn long enough and weave it in. (See picture
25 + 26)

Use your hands to flatten the head a little bit to give it a nicer shape! (See
picture 27)

Legs (4x):
Work in rounds! (color: Goat)

1. 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2. (inc) x6 (12)

3. (1 sc, inc) (18)

4. 18 sc in front loop only! (18)

5-8. 18 sc (4 rounds) (18)

9. (1 sc, dec) x6 (12)

Finish with 1 sl st and stuff the legs firmly with fiberfill.

Cut the yarn long enough so that you can use it later to sew the legs to the body.

Ears (2x):
Work in rounds! (Color: Goat)

1. 6 sc in a magic ring (6)

2. (1 sc, inc) x3 (9)

3. (2 sc, inc) x3 (12)

4. (1 sc, inc) x8 (18)

5-9. 18 sc (5rounds) (18)

10. (1 sc, dec) x6 (12)

Finish with 1 sl st. Cut the yarn long enough so you can use it to sew the ears to
the head.

The ears remain unstuffed.

Fold and pinch the ears together where the opening is and sew both sides
together with 2-3 stitches.

Assembly:
Step 1:
Sew the head to the body (to the 11th and 13th round of bobbles). I always sew
on the head facing slightly sideways, as it makes the lamb look even a little bit
cuter. Pay attention, that the string of the music box is located in the middle of
the bottom, before you sew the head to the body.

Step 2:
Sew the ears to the head, between round 22 and 24, thus between the 1st and
2nd round of bobbles, with 11 bobbles apart!

Step 3:
Sew the legs to the body.

 The hind legs are sewn on the 4th round of bobbles, about 4 bobbles
apart.
 The forelegs are sewn on between the 12th and 13 round of bobbles,
about 2 bobbles apart

Step 4:
Use black cotton yarn for the eyes.
The sleeping eyes are embroidered over round 17 and 18 and over the length of
4 stitches.
There is a distance of 10 to 11 stitches between the eyes.
For some finishing touches, you may use a brush and carefully apply some pink
blush onto the lamb's cheeks.
