Corruption over Sacrificing Peace

Corruption is always the problem in the government and the people behind it, also. It has
been recognized more as a threat to peace in which is not an easy thing or task to solve.
Choosing violence may cause or harm people and the society because it involves war and may
also arm the people. In the given problem, two most powerful families agreed that they should
have equal power to end the violence and they called it the “Forever” deal. In this case, their
agreement has something that’s not good that’s why a Peace Negotiator should act. There may be
a corrupt people so that the power will remain and cause a big problem in the society. A Peace
Negotiator should decide what’s the best for both families. It needed to have a good judgment,
enough intelligence, skills in planning, and has the ability to persuade both families.

There are two choices given whether a Peace Negotiator will choose corruption over
peace or vice versa. These two options have different effects on the society, and both have
negative effects. Choosing corruption over sacrificing peace is not good as it is since corruption
is still there, but people will not be affected physically since war is not included, but people who
have powers will still abuse it and use it for their private gains. If a Peace Negotiator will choose
sacrificing peace over corruption, it is also not good, but it has a greater change in the society.
Sacrificing peace in the short-term may involve war but corruption will end. Violence is still
violence; it will cause a lot of damage and traumas to a lot of people including children because
they are also in our society.

In my opinion, corruption over sacrificing peace is a better solution to this but it should
be fixed slowly but surely without harming people. In our country, we all know that corruption
has been a norm in the Philippine Government, and it has always been a problem. It is already a
big problem but creating another problem by choosing sacrificing peace will make us hard to
cope up from another problem. It’s not always the best choose violence to end things easily
because we will create another problem that is not good for us and for our country. There are a
lot of ways to end corruption without using violence. It may take longer but we all know that
corruption is ending when the government choose to fight equally without using their power for
their gains.

In conclusion, corruption has a lot of bad effects, especially in our country. It involves
poverty, inequality, and economic development became weak. Violence is not always a choice to
solve the problem. Creating a problem in between a creating a solution to another problem is a
big responsibility already, so it is important to end the first problem even if the progress is slow
as long as we know that it will end. The government should be held accountable in this type of
problems, and it should be addressed to people properly without lies, because they are not the
only one who are suffering in their stupid decisions.
