INSTITUTIONAL PERSPECTIVE
• What is the institutional perspective?
- The institutional perspective sees the community in three distinct dimensions. The institutional perspective
seeks to mobilize various social institutions, such as the market, community, and state, in order to promote
people's well-being. It is inspired by an ideological position that accepts a wide range of beliefs, as well as
social science theories that harmonize various approaches to social development.

• Is it an important perspective in studying the community? Why not?

- Yes, it is significant because it is a component of the community. Our community requires our assistance
in order to improve. It is an important point of view to have in order to be aware of the guidelines and
protocols that are in place, as well as to be aware of what is going on or what situations exist in our
community.

• How do you think each dimensions relates to each other?

- The three dimensions are related to one another because they serve different functions in the community.
Also, the community group is formed in a different setting and institution.

• In the second dimension, it is considered as the social model. What do you understand in this dimensions?
- In my own personal opinion, these dimensions are this group of people who contribute to change society in
order to welcome people living with a handicap or vulnerability.

• Cite an existing present situation wherein the social model is evident. Explain.
- It is evident on every public transportation, most of the elders, PWD’s or pregnant women are giving the
priority seats due to the fact that they need it more.
