AppsFlyer - Platform Compatible​

1. Overview​
Please ensure you have initialized the Rangersapplog SDK to connect third-party attribution
partners.​
1. Data Connection​
Create a Push API in AppsFlyer and configure address provided by DataFinder that allows you to
set up automated callbacks via an integration to receive activations, advertising channels,
device information etc at DataFinder. ​
2. Attribution​
Data sent by AppsFlyer includes the click time (i.e. The time when a device was used to click on
an ad). However, as DataFinder can also be used to monitor other advertising channels
DataFinder will recalculate reattibution based on data it received from all channeels using
last_click attribution.​
This means that after receiving callbacks from all third-party attribution partners, DataFinder
will conduct the attribution analysis for all channels using the last_click time (i.e. Only the last
click on the ad prior to activation will be attributed).​
For example, if a user clicks on an ad 3 times before activation, the click distribution and
attribution results will be as follows:​
3. Naming Convention​
Please note the below differences in the naming convention of data fields between AppsFlyer
and DataFinder:​

2-1. Configuration in DataFinder​
1. Acquire AppsFlyer AppID​
After logging in to AppsFlyer, please find your AppID number in the browser address.​
In the example below, the AppID is 462054704:​
2. Connect Your Source​
In DataFinder, go to 'Engagement -> Ad Tracking' -> 'Advanced - Compatible Sources' and
click 'Connect Source' for AppsFlyer.​
Fill out your App name and AppID for iOS or Android.​

⚠️Note:​
1. You should connect either iOS or Android AppID. We support connecting of multiple
AppIDs, and recommend you to connect the AppID of different packages (iOS/ Android) for
the same application. ​
2. If you delete an existing AppID, DataFinder will no longer receive any data related to the
AppID.​

3. Get Address​
After connecting AppsFlyer's AppID, DataFinder will immediately create an address which can be
used to send the data through AppsFlyer's Push API.​

2-2. Configure AppsFlyer Push API​


Log in to AppsFlyer and enter your application, then integrate with DataFinder under Push API​
• HTTP method:post
• Return URL: Enter DataFinder provided URL ​
• Returning data: select Non-organic with types of install, re-attribution and reinstall​
• Message fields: Select all the fields provided by AppsFlyer:​
2-3. Ad Tracking Analysis​
1. Data overview​
In DataFinder, go to Engagement -> Ad Tracking -> Overview, AppsFlyer's attribution data will
be included in Ads Activation.​
2. Campaign Analysis ​
DataFinder's default campaign "AppsFlyer", allow users to analyze the data integrated from
AppsFlyer in the Campaign Analysis. ​

3. Ad Tracking Analysis​
For both Device Analysis, and Anti Spam Analysis features, the data pushed by AppsFlyer will
still be included, and it can still be queried or displayed in groups according to the advertising
dimension mapping stated in the "Naming Convention" section above.​
AppsFlyer data will be included in "Device Analysis", "Anti Spam Analysis" and "Media Source
Analysis". Refer to "Naming Convention" section above for further details on the data fields
naming differences between AppsFlyer and DataFinder. ​
3.FAQ​
1. Why are there differences in the attribution data for Facebook between DataFinder and
AppsFlyer?​
Answer: When DataFinder receives the data sent by AppsFlyer, it will take out the click time and
calculate attribution again taking into account the data received by other channels using
last_click. For details, please refer to the "Attribution" section of this article.​
