INTRODUCTION

Bernz: “The highest happiness on earth is the happiness of marriage.”


Iryn: Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend in his wife.
Both: Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon! Welcome to John and Ann’s Wedding Reception!
Bernz: We are done with the solemn part of the celebration and we thank those people who are with us
today.
Iryn: And for those who just join in, welcome to the reception for our newly weds in celebration of the
beginning of their new life together.
Both: So sit down, relax and enjoy the rest of the event!

Bernz: I am Bernardo O. Nacubuan Jr.


Iryn: and I’m Iryn S. Tahum
Both: And we will be your emcees for this event.

Bernz: We thank you for gracing this joyful occasion especially to those who have traveled many miles just
to be with us.
Iryn: In behalf of John and Ann and their parents, we would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for your
presence at this memorable occasion. It is indeed a pleasure to have you all today.

ENTRANCE OF THE ENTOURAGE


Bernz: At this point, let us witness the wedding entourage!
Iryn: Excited na ba kayong makita ang bagong kasal? But first, let’s witness an opening salvo to be
presented to us by our lovely and handsome bride’s maids and groom’s men together with the best man
and maid of honor!

Both: Ladies and gentlemen, let us all rise and welcome our newly wedded couple, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Rey
and Anna May Tahum!!!!!(Music plays: Its a beautiful life)

Bernz: To formally start this program, let us all remain standing for our opening prayer to be led to us by
Rev. Dionesio Cagud.

Iryn: To welcome us all in this joyous event, let us hear the Welcome address to be given to us by Miss
Merry Ann S. Tahum, the ever supportive sister of the groom.

Bernz: One of the parents’ dreams is to see the wedding of their children. I am sure our couple’s parents are
equally excited as them.
Let us now recognize these very special people in the hearts of the newly wed.

Iryn: Money pinned or tapped unto the newly married couples garments represents a wish that good
fortune be reigned upon them and is also a means of helping the couple financially as they begin their life
together.

Iryn: At this point, I hope everyone’s attention is in the couple as they do the cake cutting tradition.
Bakit may ganitong eksena pag may kasal? Well, ayon sa aking research, the cake cutting symbolizes the
couple’s unity, their shared future and their life together as one!

TOSSING OF WINE BY THE BEST MAN


Iryn: At this juncture, let’s fill our glasses with any drink that we could get and join the best man, Bernardo
Ondovilla Nacubuan Jr. for the symbolic wine toast.

Iryn: The two doves represent the bride and groom as they begin their life’s journey in purity and with no
regrets of their past. Second, a wedding ceremony begins a journey of two lives working together for life’s
