Entrepreneurship Education in the Philippines

Summary

This research discusses the status of Entrepreneurship education in the Philippines.

It’s primarily aim is to enhance the learning system of the country in the field of

Entrepreneurship to further develop the country’s economy, and to shape the minds

of the students with the use of advanced and proper developed education system

offered by the universities and other organization that can also provide training

programs that can develop not only better entrepreneurial traits, but also

employment and technologies innovation that will make an impact to the growth of

the economy. Moreover, the scrutiny also presented the reasons why

entrepreneurship has great importance to the country. It is said that

Entrepreneurship is considered as a driver of economic growth of one’s nation that is

why the Philippines, a developing country needs to upgrade their entrepreneurship

education curriculum and sources about the field and its different components such

as business, science and technologies to perform sustainability and execute other

entrepreneurial opportunities in the country.


Furthermore, the study also included the most problematic factors in doing business

here in the Philippines which minimize the opportunity of growth. Aside from that,

the objective to boost entrepreneurship in the workplace cannot be accomplish if

there is insufficient support, that is why the study states that in order to achieve its

goal, it can be done through the collaboration of the Academe, industry and

government which will enhance the collaboration on business, science and

technology program that will have a great contribution to the entrepreneurship

education in the Philippines.

The research entitled Entrepreneurship Education in the Philippines by Aida L.

Velasco tackles about the phenomenon in education when it comes to

entrepreneurship here at the Philippines. How can one of the foundation of the

economy improve when there is insufficient education to provide and financial

resources. Therefore, this article elaborated precise innovative information to further

boost the education system and to promote the entrepreneurship industry in the

country, in addition they also provided factors that lessen the chances of growth of

the industry which supported their aim which is to enhance the education.

The conducted article is highly organized and cohesive. Its main purpose was clear

and the process of the implementation for advanced education system is precisely

and understandable.
When it comes to data gathering, the data they used are from Department of Trade

and Industry, National Statistics Office and World Economic Forum which are well

corporate organizations. The involvement of these organizations certainly supported

the study to prove its purpose.
