Date :11/10/2021

Lab. Slot: L31+L32

Name: AYUSH GIRI Reg. No.: 21BDS0031

Aim: To find the Thevenin’s voltage ‘Vth’, Thevenin’s resistance ‘Rth’ and
Current through the Load resistance RL for the given circuit using OrCad capture CIS and
also validate these values with theoretical calculation.

Requirements:
Sl.No. Components Orcad Orcad Quantity Value
Library Part
name

1 Voltage Source source VDC 1 5V

2 Current Source source IDC 1 1A

3 Analog R 5 560Ω, 560Ω, 470

Resistance Ω, 120 Ω, 1k Ω

Snapshot of OrCad schematic diagram:

(1) Schematic Diagram to Find Vth :
Vth = 2.500 - 1.017 = 1.482V

(2) Schematic Diagram to find Rth:

Rth = (95.59+280)/1=375.59Ω
(3) Schematic Diagram to find IL:

IL = 1.078mA
