Madam:
The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports that almost ten thousand
people die each year in home fires. There is a way these senseless deaths could be
avoided. A law could be passed requiring people to put smoke detectors in their
homes.
Smoke detectors set off a warning sound when a fire begins. The loud sound warns
people of the danger. They are given a chance to call the fire department or
escape.
Our company manufactures quality smoke detectors. Please help us lobby for the
passage of a city ordinance requiring smoke detectors in all homes. Our company
is your partner in making Makati a safe community.

Truly yours,
