The Meikarta Case, KPK Called the


President of Lippo Cikarang and the
Director of Lippo Karawaci
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.COM – Indonesia’s Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) scheduled an
examination of a number of parties as witnesses in a case of alleged bribery in the licensing project of
the Meikarta development project in Cikarang, Bekasi District, on Thursday (25/10/2018).

Those who are called are the President Director of Lippo Cikarang Toto Bartholomeus, the Director of
Lippo Karawaci Ketut Budi Wijaya, and Lippo Cikarang financial staff such as Novan, Endrikus, Ronald, Sri
Tuti, Dianika, and Josiah.

KPK also called 3 people from the section for issuance of spatial permits and public works office building
and Bekasi district spatial planning; Kusnadi Hendra Maulana, Ujang Tatang, and Lucki Widiyani.

“The person concerned will be examined as a witness for the suspect BS (the Director of Lippo Group
Operations, Billy Sandoro),” said KPK spokesman to Febri Diansyah when confirmed.

In this case, KPK sets the regent of Bekasi Neneng Hassanah and Lippo Group official Billy Sandoro as
suspects. Other than that, KPK also sets the head of the Bekasi PUPR service spatial division Neneng
Rahmi as suspect.

In addition, KPK also sets 3 head of Departments as suspects. They are: the Head of the Public Works
Service and the Bekasi Spatial Planning Jamaluddin, the Head of the Fire Department Sahat MBJ Nahor,
and the Head of Investment and Integrated Licensing Service Office of Bekasi Regency Dewi Tisnawati.

The five men allegedly received bribes related to the Meikarta development project permit project in
Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java. The bribes were allegedly given by Lippo Group property development
officials.

Neneng and the agency heads were allegedly promised IDR 13 billion in money by the Lippo Group
developer. Until now, according to the KPK, there was only a surrender of IDR 7 billion.
