The regular meeting of the Hughesville Borough Council was called to order by Council President Jeffery Berger
followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

Peggy Wood discussed the Rotary Christmas lights they purchased from John King and their
plans to update the angel lights with LED¶s; also the Holiday Parade, December 5th and Lighting of the Tree,
December 3, 2010
Charley Lockard, Treasurer for the Hughesville Public Library has Council for continued support of the library, citing a
steady increase in membership and library activities.

 October 1, 2010, a correction to Emergency Management, Brian Boyer is not a County contact but
might be interest in assisting Dave Bressler in Emergency Management; Mook moved, seconded by Michael. Motion
passed.
October 25, 2010, a correction to the spelling of Civil Service Board member Pauline Baker to Barber; Mook moved,
Smith seconded. Motion passed.

Ryan Tira, Medicare B Supplemental Insurance coverage for Borough employees with 25 years or
more of service. Michael moved, seconded by Savage. Motion passed.

 Chief Gill explained the ³Buckle Up´ grant. Smith moved to accept, seconded by Michael. Motion
passed.
Muncy Township uses the Borough¶s radio frequency suggested that they reimburse for half.

Dale Cahn counters were put on Mill/Race streets (PennDot) to determine the traffic flow if the
Borough decides to make it one way.
Smith moved to deposit $1,000 insurance check for Bodine Park fence into the Capital Fund, seconded by Michael.
Motion passed.

Richard Smith, approve minutes from October 7, 2010 Michael moved, seconded by Savage. Motion
passed.
Smith said that the Water Authority is applying for their own federal ID number so that they have a separate identity
from the Borough. Believe that there is a water leak is on Reservoir Rd; Pa Rural Water brought in sound equipment to
pinpoint where the leak is.

%.',,.% ±Mook/Smith - PennDot/County Meeting 11/02/10 met with PennDot representative Laura Lapenski; we
were told there is no budget this year or next for a traffic light. PennDot suggested blinking light warning drivers of an
upcoming stop sign; cost could be as high as $15,000. Council discussed concerns about adding a turning lane on
Water & Main Streets.

'/,'.0,%± Smith - Memorial Park¶s first annual tree lighting will be December 3rd at 7:00 PM.

Move to go into close session for personnel and legal discussion. 9:10 PM Perry moved, seconded by Savage. Motion
passed.
