I'm excited to put into practice the things I've learned from it Sep 06, Nyla rated it really liked it. Using childhood experiences and those from adult
life, author Jack Front shows readers the difference in having an orphan heart and one of a child of God or as he calls it a heart of sonship. Frost
was a fishing boat captain and then a pastor. He uses examples "Spiritual slavery to Sonship, your destiny awaits you" expanded edition is written
by authors Jack and Trisha Frost.
He uses examples and stories to stress his point and make it easier to understand. His coauthor and wife, Trisha, is upfront about her struggles in
an effort to help others. The Frosts point out in their eleven chapter book that we cannot be ruled by fear. In the first chapter No Fear! We need
to put fear aside. Chapter seven Orphan or Son was probably my favorite. It talked about men and women referred to in the Bible. There are
many times scripture refers to sons but not daughters.
That doesn't mean woman are not loved or important. In Eternity Spiritual Slavery to Spiritual Sonship: Your Destiny Awaits You will all be called
The Bride of Christ, men and women. Take the image of God for instance. Nineteen other topics are discussed and compared. This entire inspiring
book is designed to help readers draw closer to God.
It was written to offer encouragement to people feeling hopeless, condemned, and unworthy. It gives readers ways to strengthen their daily Walk
with God.
Providing Spiritual Slavery to Spiritual Sonship: Your Destiny Awaits You tools, such as turning to God in good times as well as bad, this is a
wonderful book to share with anyone that needs a little help. I will definitely keep it handy and reread parts of it when I feel the need for uplifting.
I liked the authors' styles in writing this book. They were easy to read and understand. The person stories made the reading go faster and the book
very interesting. Each chapter was organized and included scripture concluding with discussion questions. At the end of the book is an Appendix A
contrasting the differences in an Orphan Heart and Heart of Sonship on the twenty subjects from chapter seven such as dependency, motive for
service, self-image, expression of love, and future.
Appendix B is The Ministry of Restitution. These are followed by information on Jack, now deceased, and Trisha Frost as well as some resources.
I would recommend this book. It is one that would be a good group study book especially with the questions at the end of each chapter and the
material it covers. I rated this a 4 out of 5 stars. I received a copy of this book from The Book Club Network for my honest review.
